MAHENDERGARH, 11.12.24-The students of the Law Department at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh celebrated Human Rights Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event aimed to raise awareness about contemporary human rights issues and promote a culture of respect and dignity for all.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University raised his voice for those suffering in Bangladesh and other parts of the world, emphasizing the need for collective action to protect human rights. He praised the efforts of the law students, saying, "I am delighted to see our students taking a keen interest in social causes like human rights. Their efforts have not only brought laurels to the university but have also showcased the relevance of human rights in today's world."
As part of the celebrations, the students organized discussions on various human rights issues in the hostels. The initiative was motivated by Dr. Pardeep Singh, Dean and Head of the Law Department, who emphasized the importance of human rights by citing the famous quote of Martin Luther King Jr., "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." Dr. Singh encouraged the students to take an active role in promoting human rights and upholding justice. The event was attended by students from the LL.B. and LL.M. programs, who actively participated in the discussions and debates.
