Chandigarh, April 7 - Mission Director Haryana National Health Mission (NHM), said that, NHM, Haryana has started awareness campaigns to educate the people about cleanliness, personal hygiene, sanitization, and social distancing as COVID-19 can be fought by practicing the same. By following these steps collectively, we all can fight the menace of COVID-19 and can thus prevent it from entering into the third stage, he added.

Mr. Prabhjot Singh further said that three teams, headed by Deputy Director Senior Scale and Child Health, Dr. Simmi, Senior Accounts Officer-NHM, Mr. Sanjeev Jain, and Program Officer, Health and Wellness Centre, Dr. Parveen Boora, have been constituted for the campaign.

He further said that in order to strengthen the campaign, masks were distributed to the laborers, slum dwellers, laborers residing at construction sites, vegetables vendors, Rehri Walas and Policemen.

He said that soaps were also distributed in these localities where the people were made aware of proper hand washing techniques and the three teams distributed about 3000 masks and 864 soaps to the families. The awareness campaign will be continued in the near future as well, he added.
