CHANDIGARH, 22.09.21- “We are exploring opportunities to promote as well as increase the trade volume between Thailand and India”, said H E Ms Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to India while interacting with industry captains during Roundtable organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) today in Chandigarh.

There exists lot of possibility for Thai companies partnering with Indian companies based out of Chandigarh Region in the area of Renewable Energy, Food Processing, Textiles, Retail, etc. Thai companies are also exploring investment opportunities in in India, said H E Ms Pattarat Hongtong. Her Excellency also exhorted Indian industry to invest in Thailand and also trade with Thai companies. Chandigarh Region has good potentials including manufacturing and renewable energy sector various exchange programmes, which can be organized between Thailand and Chandigarh, she added.

Welcoming the Ambassador, Mr Manish Gupta, Chairman, CII Chandigarh UT said “India’s ‘Act East Policy’ is well complemented with Thailand’s Act ‘West Policy’ which provides a solid foundation to strengthen further and foster friendship and cooperation between the two nations”.
