Mahendragarh, 23.04.24-A national seminar on Indian Knowledge System was organized by the Department of Yoga, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh. Prof. Dinesh Chandra Shastri, Vice Chancellor, Uttarakhand Sanskrit University was present as the keynote speaker. Prof. Sushma Yadav, Pro Vice-Chancellor of CUH, and first lady Prof. Sunita Srivastava had an august presence on this occasion.
Prof. Dinesh Chandra Shastri informed the participants about various aspects of Indian Knowledge System. He said how in ancient times India was established as a strong economy as a result of its knowledge. He said the participants that even at that time through knowledge, science, yoga and ancient Indian texts, India was established as a major center of knowledge in the world and how the British rule destroyed India's ancient knowledge system.
Prof. Sushma Yadav said that this event is organizing under the direction and guidance of the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar. She said that India was established as a developed economy. Referring to the new National Education Policy, Prof. Sushma Yadav said that once again India is moving towards regaining its old glory through this policy. She said that only by combining the knowledge of science and Sanskrit, we can develop our knowledge tradition and yoga is also an important role in this direction.
Prof. Sunita Srivastava said that the Indian Knowledge System has deep roots. The more you know about it, the more knowledge you will gain. As far as yoga is concerned, it is a useful role to keep the mind, brain and body healthy and yoga is also a gift of India's ancient knowledge system.
