Mahendragarh, 26.07.24-On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the valour and courage of the Indian Army was saluted at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh. At the Vidya Veerta Sthal of the University, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar paid floral tributes and remembered the sacrifice, martyrdom and dedication of the brave warriors of the army towards the country.

On this occasion, a felicitation ceremony was also organized for the ex-servicemen living in the local villages nearby the University campus. The Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sushma Yadav, the first woman of the University, Prof. Sunita Srivastava and Registrar Prof. Suneel Kumar were also present in the event.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that the Kargil war is a symbol of valour and courage of the Indian Army. We all salute their courage and such events directly work to strengthen the feeling of patriotism among the common people. He said that soldiers are the only people who get the opportunity to live and die for the country. The Vice Chancellor told the students of National Cadet Corps (NCC) present on this occasion that they should understand the importance of the country's independence and remember the sacrifices made by the soldiers for it and be ready for the country's welfare. Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Sushma Yadav said that it was definitely a difficult war. The enemy was sitting on the top of the mountain and we were fighting from below, but still India won this war due to the courage of the brave soldiers. She said that the result of this war once again proved that the Indian Army is fully capable of protecting the border and giving a befitting reply to the enemy.

Prof. Suneel Kumar, Registrar of the University also remembered the sacrifice of the brave soldiers on this occasion and said that we will always be indebted to them. At the beginning of this program organized by NCC and Public Relations Office, Section Officer in the University, Mr. Rajesh Jangra, elaborated on the Kargil war and its causes.

At the end of the program, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Meena expressed his gratitude. On this occasion, Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Prof. Dinesh Kumar Gupta, Prof. Harish Kumar, Prof. Pawan Morya, Prof. Surendra Singh, Prof. Payal Chandel, Prof. Rajiv Kumar Singh, Dr. Rakesh Dhiman, Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Dr. Keshav Rawat, Dr. Vikas Siwach, head of various departments, teachers, officers and non-teaching staff were present.
