Plans for Delhi-Jhajjar-Dadri-Loharu Greenfield expressway under consideration – Sh. JP Dalal

Budget Focuses on Farmers, Infrastructure, and Employment, Says JP Dalal

Chandigarh, July 27- Haryana Finance Minister, Sh. JP Dalal stated that the budget presented by the Union Finance Minister on July 23 is a budget for the development of every section of society. Under this, long-term policies will be formulated to advance the nation's development. This budget has been created for the benefit of the poor, women, farmers, and youth, among others.

The Finance Minister was addressing a press conference in Charkhi Dadri today.

Sh. JP Dalal said that Haryana has received significant benefits from this budget. Speaking solely about the railway sector, Haryana has been allocated Rs. 3,383 crores, compared to Rs. 300 crores under governments ten years ago. Under the railway budget, projects covering 1100 kms will be undertaken. Plans are also being made to upgrade stations, including those in Dadri, Bhiwani, and Loharu. The government's effort is to eliminate all railway crossings and replace them with overbridges or underpasses.

Special Focus on Increasing Farmers' Income in the Budget

The Finance Minister said that the budget includes plans that consider the welfare of farmers. There is a special focus on increasing farmers' income by producing and exporting goods abroad. For Haryana farmers, work is already underway on production processing and packaging based on a Rs. 3000 crore agreement with Japan. He said that the state government is continuously working for the welfare of farmers. Haryana is the first state in the country where most crops receive MSP prices. Work is ongoing on 32 agricultural and 109 horticultural varieties in the state. Special attention is being given to ensure that crop production occurs locally and that farmers receive good prices and access to high-quality seeds.

He stated that the central budget particularly focuses on providing facilities to farmers, along with employment and infrastructure development. This budget primarily aims to increase employment, farmers' income, and develop infrastructure. In every aspect, this is a long-term budget under which the nation's development will gain momentum.

Sh. JP Dalal mentioned that a work plan is in progress to create a greenfield expressway from Delhi Airport to Loharu via Jhajjar, Dadri, and Bahadurgarh. Additionally, a survey is being conducted to develop a railway line from Jhajjar to Loharu via Dadri. There is also a plan to establish a direct train route from the newly constructed airport in Hisar to Delhi.

Congress Government has always Betrayed the People of the State

In response to a question, he said that the Congress government has always betrayed the people of the state. The Congress's work is solely to sell jobs, whereas our government provides jobs to eligible based on merit. The government has worked for the welfare of the poor by transforming the system.

He added that the Congress party tried to scare people in the last Lok Sabha elections in the name of the Constitution and farmers, but the people of the country has again showcased their faith in Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's vision.

In response to another question, he said that since the Aam Aadmi Party's government was formed in Punjab, they have outright refused to give Haryana its share of water. On what basis, then, can the Aam Aadmi Party seek support from the people of Haryana, he questioned.
