CHANDIGARH, 21.12.24-Marking the celebration of World Meditation Day, the NSS Units and Department of Philosophy at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, under the aegis of IQAC organised a session on meditation. Ms. Paulomi Mukherjee, Regional Director, Government Programs, Art of Living was the resource person for this session. The event aimed to highlight the significance of meditation as a pathway to a joyful and fulfilling life. The session commenced with an engaging discussion by Ms. Mukherjee on the meaning and essence of meditation. She emphasised the role of meditation as a key to achieving happiness and inner peace. Mr. Rahul from Art of Living engaged the participants in interesting mind games and exercises that created a relaxed and participatory atmosphere, setting the stage for the main meditation practice. Ms. Mukherjee then conducted a guided meditation session, providing an opportunity for attendees to experience the calming and restorative effects of meditation firsthand. Additionally, the participants also joined the live session conducted by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the global spiritual leader, to mark the World Meditation Day celebration. The event concluded with a resounding message of incorporating meditation into daily life as a means to foster inner harmony and resilience in the face of life’s challenges. The session was well-received, leaving participants inspired and motivated to continue their meditation journey.
