Chandigarh, 13.04.25: In a splendid celebration of brilliance, talent, and tireless perseverance, DAV College, Sector 10, unfurled the tapestry of its accomplishments at the much-anticipated Annual Prize Distribution Function 2025.
The occasion was graced by A. S. Rai, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Traffic, Punjab, who honored the dais as the Chief Guest, bringing with him an aura of dignity and inspiration. Former Principal, R C Jeevan graced the function as the Guest Of Honour. Chief Guest A. S. Rai, IPS, captivated the gathering with his address, instilling a sense of discipline, foresight, and futuristic learning. He stressed upon the rising relevance of Artificial Intelligence in the modern world and urged students to embrace skill development courses to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape.
The event, a proud hallmark of academic grandeur and holistic development, was held under the visionary leadership of Principal Dr. Mona Narang, with dynamic coordination by Dr. Deepti Madaan (Convener) and Dr. Ghanshyam Dev (Co-coordinator).
In her compelling welcome address, Principal Dr. Mona Narang electrified the audience with words that resonated deep within the hearts of students and faculty alike. She exhorted the young scholars to work harder in the life. Her eloquent presentation of the college’s Annual Report stood as a testament to DAV’s relentless pursuit of excellence in academics, sports, and co-curricular arenas.
The function saw the conferral of a staggering 327 prizes, illuminating the exceptional talent nurtured within the college’s hallowed halls: 9 University Toppers, proving DAV’s academic supremacy, 78 distinctions in the top three positions within the college , 49 laurels in sports, 59 accolades in NCC, including 4 Roll of Honour, 21 College Colours, and 34 Merit Certificates—testifying to the cadets’ valor and discipline. 22 awards in NSS, with 5 Roll of Honour, 3 College Colours, and 14 Merit Certificates, highlighting the spirit of selfless service. 90 awards in the Youth Festivals, a kaleidoscope of culture and creativity: a total number of 19 in National Youth Festival, 26 in Inter-Zonal, 45 in Zonal events and 20 recognitions in Co-curricular Activities, echoing the institution’s commitment to nurturing all-rounded individuals.
Adding glitter to this galaxy of achievements were cash prizes worth ₹1,71,000 in academics and a phenomenal ₹11,50,000 in sports, standing as tangible recognition of relentless passion and performance.
