MAHENDERGARH,12.11.25-The Department of Printing and Packaging Technology, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, in collaboration with the Offset Printers’ Association (OPA), successfully organized the 3rd Edition of the B. R. Chaudhary Memorial Print Competition–2025.
Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Patron of the event an, congratulated the winners and participants. He appreciated the department’s efforts in fostering innovation, creativity, and technical expertise, emphasizing the role of practical exposure in professional growth.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Kuldip Goel, Managing Director, Any Graphics Pvt. Ltd., inspired students by emphasizing that “accuracy, dedication, and love for the profession are essential traits for success in the printing industry.”
Prof. Kamal Mohan Chopra, President, Offset Printers’ Association, whose visionary thoughts have consistently guided the upliftment of print education in India, conceptualized the Print Student of the Year initiative to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
Instituted by the Offset Printers’ Association in memory of the revered print educator Late Shri B. R. Chaudhary Ji, the competition aims to inspire and recognize young talent in the field of Printing and Packaging Technology.
In this third edition, C. Harshwardhan, a 3rd-year B.Tech student, was crowned as the Print Student of the Year–2025. He will be conferred with a Gold Medal, Certificate, and a cash prize of ₹25,000/-. A total of 61 students attended the event. After a rigorous selection process, five finalists — Utkarsh Dubey, C. Harshwardhan, Deepanshu Sharma, Jaiprakash, and Tarun Balwan — competed in the final round, demonstrating their technical knowledge and communication skills.
Prof. Vikas Garg, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, praised the department for organizing the event with industry linkage and highlighted the growing career opportunities in printing and packaging.
The event also featured an esteemed panel of jury members — Mr. Ashwani Gupta (President, AIFPP), Dr. Sanjay Mahajan (President, International Board of Startup & Entrepreneurship, Amritsar Chapter), Dr. Bijender Kaushik (Assistant Professor, Printing Technology, GJUS&T, Hisar), Ms. Sonam Verma (Assistant Professor, Printing Technology, SITM Rewari), and Mr. Tinku Sharma (Regional Manager, Sandon Global – India, Middle East, Africa).
The event was graced by faculty members Dr. Shammi Mehra, Dr. Sandeep Boora, Mr. Tarun Singh, Mr. Anil, and Ms. Suman Kumari, who played instrumental roles in its successful organization. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Suman Kumari. Stage moderation was handled by Tanusree and Monika, while Kirti Pal, Karan Singh, Tarun Balwan, Ritika, Neelam, Kartikey, Kapil, and Ankit contributed as dedicated student volunteers. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sandeep Boora, who expressed gratitude to all guests, jury members, and faculty for their efforts in making the event a grand success.
