Ludhiana 02 December 2025-The Department of Animal Nutrition, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University , Ludhiana, organized a seminar titled “Gunvata Yatra: Awareness Program on NABL Accreditation” in collaboration with the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), New Delhi. The program aimed to strengthen quality assurance systems and promote accreditation readiness across university laboratories.

Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the seminar as Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted that NABL accreditation significantly enhances the credibility, reliability, and global acceptance of laboratory testing services. He urged all departments to adopt robust quality practices to ensure scientific integrity and transparency.

Dr. S.S. Randhawa, Dean, College of Veterinary Science appreciated the Department of Animal Nutrition for its proactive commitment to fostering a quality-driven ecosystem within the university.

The technical sessions were led by NABL experts from New Delhi. Joint Director Dr. Bhumi Rajyaguru delivered an insightful presentation on the NABL accreditation framework and its role in improving laboratory performance in line with national and international standards. Deputy Director Dr. Iti Saxena elaborated on the application process, guiding participants through the NABL online portal, documentation requirements, and compliance procedures.
