MAHENDERGARH, 27.01.26-Hemant Kumar, Ph.D. Scholar, Department of Civil Engineering, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh has presented his research in an International Conference on “Sustainable Planning, Architecture and Civil Engineering – 2026” organized at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra from 23–25 January, 2026. He presented his research paper on 'Effect of nutrient type and dosages in self-healing efficiency of bacterial mortar.'
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of the University said that the researcher has been awarded the Best Paper Award. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar has congratulated the research team and conveyed his wishes for the bright future of the student.
Hemant Kumar is working on innovative and sustainable construction materials aimed at improving durability and performance of cement-based materials. His research focuses on enhancing self-healing efficiency in bacterial mortar to promote sustainable and resilient infrastructure. He is working under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Ran Bir Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering.
