Chandigarh, 2nd February 2026-A delegation of the National Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Force, Chandigarh, led by its President, Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi & Sh. Anil Vohra Chairman, met Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda, IPS, Hon’ble Director General of Police, Chandigarh, at his office and submitted a detailed memorandum highlighting key suggestions to enhance transparency, curb corruption, and further strengthen law and order in the city. During the meeting, the delegation apprised the Hon’ble DGP of various public concerns relating to corruption, public grievance redressal, misuse of authority, and the need for greater transparency in public dealings. The memorandum emphasized measures such as strict monitoring of public works and tenders, strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms, protection of whistleblowers, increased use of technology to minimize human interface, and public awareness campaigns against corruption, among other important issues.
The delegation appreciated the proactive role of the Chandigarh Police in maintaining law and order and expressed its willingness to extend full cooperation and support to the police administration in promoting ethical governance, civic awareness, and public trust.

Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda, IPS, patiently heard the delegation and assured them that the issues and suggestions raised would be examined with due seriousness in the larger public interest.

The delegation included Mr. Rajat Malhotra, General Secretary; Mr. Diljit Thukral, Vice President; Mr. Rajan Mahajan, Vice President; Mr. Vikas Batta, Finance Secretary; and Mr. Naresh Bansal, Advisor. The members expressed their gratitude to the Hon’ble DGP for sparing his valuable time and for his positive and constructive approach.
