Shimla,08.03.2026:SJVN commemorated International Women’s Day 2026 by organizing a magnificent event at Shimla. The celebration was aligned with this year’s theme, ‘Give To Gain’. Women employees of all levels from various projects and units of the organization, along with members of Satluj Shree Ladies Club, participated in the event. Around 200 females participated in the event.

The event was graced by Sh. Bhupender Gupta, CMD, SJVN, along with Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN and his spouse Smt. Shally Sharma. Sh. Baljeet Singh, HoD (HR) was also present.

Addressing the gathering, Sh. Bhupender Gupta emphasized SJVN’s commitment to empowering women and providing equal opportunities for their professional growth. He highlighted that women employees play a vital role in the organisation’s progress and contribute significantly to strengthening workplace culture through their dedication, innovation and collaborative spirit.

Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma stated that the women employees of SJVN have consistently demonstrated professionalism, competence and dedication across various functional areas. Their valuable contributions have played an important role in the organisation’s achievements and growth, further reinforcing the belief that women’s empowerment is essential for organisational excellence and sustainable development.

Captain Yashika Hatwal Tyagi, Kargil War Veteran, was the motivational speaker for the event. She delivered a highly motivational address, sharing her inspiring journey and encouraging participants to embrace resilience, determination and leadership in their personal and professional lives.

Programme also included an outbound experiential learning session aimed at strengthening leadership, resilience, collaboration and team spirit among the participants.
