One arrested in Snatching
A case FIR No. 31 u/s 304(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Pinku Kumar R/o Godwan No. 7, Village Kandala, District Mohali (PB). He reported that three unknown persons snatched his mobile phone and purse near Motor Market, Sector-48 on 17-04-2026 at about 6:00 PM and fled. Later, one accused lady R/o Atta Bhanthar, District Unnao (UP), age 26 years was arrested and is in police lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested in Theft
A case FIR No. 57 u/s 305(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sandeep Kumar R/o Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh. He reported that an unknown person stole one gas cylinder from his residence on 15-04-2026 at about 2:40 PM. During investigation one accused namely Sumit Residence of Adarsh Nagar Naya Gaon Mohali pb. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 58 u/s 305(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Surjit Singh R/o Village Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh. He reported that an unknown person stole his gas cylinder from his house on 12-04-2026. No arrest has been made so far.
Accident
A case FIR No. 66 u/s 281, 125 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Manoj Singh R/o Sector-46/C, Chandigarh (age 38 years). He reported that an unknown vehicle hit his son Pranay Singh, who was on a bicycle, near Kali Bari light point on 15-04-2026, causing injuries. The injured was admitted to Fortis Hospital.

A case FIR No. 60 u/s 319(2), 318(4), 336(3), 338, 340(2) & 61(2) BNS has been registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sanjeev Agarwal S/o Late Dinesh Chand Aggarwal R/o #245, First Floor, Shivalik Enclave, NAC Mani Majra, Chandigarh (age 53 years). He reported that an unknown person cheated him of ₹1,96,00,000 through WhatsApp impersonation related to his company. Investigation of the case is in progress.
