One arrested under Arms Act
A Case FIR No. 60 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Maloya on the complaint of police officials against Vikram S/o Venu R/o Ram Kumar R/o #4911, Small Flat, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh, aged about 25 years, who was apprehended near Ziri Mandi Chowk on 18-04-2026 at about 03:30 AM and one рджреЗрд╢реА рдХрдЯреНрдЯрд╛ along with one live cartridge was recovered from his possession. The accused has been arrested and is in police custody. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A Case FIR No. 43 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station 26 on the complaint of Akash Poswal S/o Pradeep Kumar Poswal R/o H. No. 728/7, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh stating that on 18-04-2026, a driver of an e-rickshaw bearing No. CH01-AF-5388 hit the Activa rider near Sector 27/28 light point and fled from the spot. The injured was admitted to hospital. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 32 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station 49 on the complaint of Sumitra Devi W/o Sh. Bankelal R/o #1108, 1st Floor, Small Flat, Dhanas, Chandigarh stating that on 17-04-2026 at about 02:30 PM, her husband aged about 60 years was hit by a car near Burail Jail Small Chowk, Ayodhya Prashad Haripur (UP)
