Chandigarh, April 4 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said today that in the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form the government in Punjab with a massive majority. He said that the party will contest the elections on key issues such as development, security, infrastructure, and healthcare.
He further said that BJP’s victory in West Bengal is historic and indicates that the people there have rejected other political parties. In addition, Sh. Vij said that BJP will also win the ongoing municipal elections in the state as there is a strong wave in favor of the party.
Sh. Vij was responding to questions from media persons regarding the results of the West Bengal and Assam Assembly elections.

He expressed confidence that BJP will achieve a big victory in Punjab in the coming time. He said that just as the party delivered an unprecedented performance in West Bengal, it will create a new history in Punjab as well. Regarding the seven MPs who left the Aam Aadmi Party, he said that they have been accepted by the Rajya Sabha Chairman and have formally joined the BJP. They will now actively participate in the Punjab elections as respected members of the party.
AAP is not an organized political party, just a makeshift arrangement – Vij
Taking a dig at AAP, he said that it is not a structured political party but merely a temporary arrangement (“jugaad”). He added that some individuals capitalized on the massive support received during Anna Hazare’s movement, collected supporters’ data, and formed a party that lacks a clear ideology and a concrete program.
People of the country have shown trust in BJP for development and national security – Vij
Reacting to BJP’s landslide victory in West Bengal, he said it clearly shows that the people of the country have evaluated other parties and have now placed their trust in BJP for development, national security, and public welfare. He added that BJP is capable of taking the country forward, ensuring border security, and providing better facilities to citizens. He also said that BJP is a policy-driven party and is moving forward with a nationalist vision and a commitment toward the goal of 2047.
BJP has a strong organizational structure – Vij
He further said that wherever elections have been held—whether in Haryana, Delhi, Bihar, or other states—BJP has consistently achieved success. Similarly, the party has performed strongly in West Bengal and Assam as well. He expressed confidence that BJP will continue to win future elections. Sh. Vij said that BJP has a strong organizational framework, from booth-level workers to the national president, and that party workers are regularly trained to strengthen ideology and functioning.
Congress will disappear in the future – Vij
He said that the massive rallies addressed by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah in West Bengal had already indicated that BJP would form the government there. He added that apart from BJP, other political parties are weak and lack ideology, focusing only on capturing power. Taking a swipe at the Indian National Congress, he said that its influence is continuously declining and that it will completely disappear from the political landscape in the future.

Chandigarh, May 4 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said on the Bharatiya Janata Party’s historic victory in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry that the people of India have carefully “scanned” all political parties and recognized that the only party that delivers work is the BJP. He added that other parties are merely makeshift arrangements, family-run setups, or groups formed to seize power.
Anil Vij said that the BJP has created history by achieving such a big victory in Bengal. He said that wherever the BJP contests elections, it wins — citing victories in Haryana, Delhi, Mumbai, Bihar, and now Bengal and Assam. He added that in all upcoming elections, the BJP will continue to win and “the lotus will bloom.” He described the BJP as a party of values, ideas, nationalism, and policies — focusing on education, security, and overall development — which is why people favor it.
Speaking about the upcoming elections in Punjab, Anil Vij said that voices of “Long live BJP” will echo in every street. He expressed confidence that a BJP government will be formed in Punjab.
Earlier today, party workers celebrated the victory enthusiastically at the BJP office on Nicholson Road in Ambala Cantonment. A large number of office-bearers and workers danced to drum beats, distributed sweets, and burst fireworks.
On this occasion, BJP leaders Sanjeev Soni, Jasbir Jassi, Vijendra Chauhan, Ajay Baveja, Sanjeev Walia, Pravesh Sharma, Ravi Buddhiraja, Harsh Bindra, Vikas Bahal, Ashish Aggarwal, Bharat Kochhar, Balit Nagpal, Ravi Sehgal, along with many other office-bearers and workers, were present.
