Chandigarh, July 13: The words of the Satguru are priceless and cannot be measured against any worldly possession. A devotee who not only listens to the Satguru’s divine teachings but also imbibes them in life and lives accordingly becomes truly worthy of liberation. Such a person not only makes his own life meaningful but also inspires and guides others towards the right path. These thoughts were expressed by Shri Amrit Pal Singh Ji, Central Parchark of the Sant Nirankari Mission from Surat, while addressing thousands of devotees during a spiritual congregation held at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Sector-30, Chandigarh.
He said that after attaining the knowledge of God bestowed by Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj, the ultimate goal of spiritual life is to become one with the Divine. This state is attained through the grace of the Satguru and by consistently practising Satsang (spiritual congregation), Seva (selfless service), Simran (remembrance of God) and following the path of Gurmat. Referring to Gurbani, he said that only those blessed by the Guru are able to recognize the true spiritual path and gradually experience oneness with the Formless Lord.
Shri Amrit Pal Singh Ji further emphasized that self-introspection is essential for spiritual progress. The purpose of attending Satsang is not merely to mark one's presence but to evaluate how far one has progressed on the spiritual journey. He said that the lives of enlightened saints and great spiritual personalities serve as milestones that inspire us to assess our own spiritual growth. Continuous progress is a blessing, but if one stagnates or begins to move backward, it calls for sincere self-reflection.
Illustrating his point with an example, he said that spiritual knowledge, the Satguru and God are equally available to everyone, but one's ability to receive them depends upon individual faith, trust and surrender. This is why, even while attending the same Satsang, some devotees experience divine bliss whereas others continue to struggle with doubts and confusion. When a devotee comes closer to the Satguru, places complete faith in His teachings and implements them in daily life, only then does one truly understand the glory and mystery of the Formless God.
Referring to the teachings of Revered Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, he explained that just as a person experiences greater coolness by going deeper into water, similarly, the more a devotee allows the Formless God to reside within the heart, the greater the spiritual bliss experienced. Rare are those saints who attain complete surrender and experience complete oneness with the Divine, becoming a source of inspiration for others.
Concluding the Satsang, he urged all devotees to make love, humility, selfless service, remembrance of God and the teachings of the Satguru the foundation of their daily lives. He said that this alone makes human life meaningful and strengthens the values of brotherhood, harmony and spirituality in society.
Earlier, Shri Navneet Pathak Ji, Sanyojak of Chandigarh, welcomed Shri Amrit Pal Singh Ji on behalf of the entire congregation and expressed heartfelt gratitude for his gracious visit from Surat.
