Chandigarh, July 25, 2026: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chandigarh, organised an important state-level workshop at its state office Kamal Kamal under the ‘Shri Guru Ravidas Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan’. The workshop aimed at taking the message of equality, social harmony, service and human welfare of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji to every section of society and ensuring the effective implementation of the campaign through the organisation.
The workshop was addressed by Dr. Sikander Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP and former Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University, as the chief speaker. He elaborated on the inspiring life of Sant Ravidas Ji, his struggle against social evils and discrimination prevalent in society at that time, and his teachings on equality, humanity and social justice. He said that the life and teachings of Sant Ravidas Ji continue to inspire society to remain united, eliminate discrimination and work towards building a harmonious India.
On the occasion, BJP Chandigarh Pradesh President Jatinder Pal Malhotra said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is continuously working to take the thoughts and ideals of saints, great personalities and nation-builders to the masses. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party is working to strengthen the values of social harmony and national interest by bringing every section of society together in the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’. The ‘Shri Guru Ravidas Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan’ is an important initiative in this direction.
He said that through his teachings, Sant Ravidas Ji gave society the message of equality, love, brotherhood and humanity. His ideals remain equally relevant in strengthening social unity and harmony even today. The BJP is committed to taking his ideals beyond remembrance and ensuring that his message reaches every section of society.
Members of the state campaign team Ramveer Bhatti, Amit Khairwal, Rajpal Dogra, Sunil Bagri and Simran, along with BJP Chandigarh state office-bearers, district office-bearers, mandal office-bearers and a large number of party workers, were present at the workshop.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a collective resolve was taken to conduct the campaign effectively up to the booth level and take the message of Sant Ravidas Ji based on equality, service, brotherhood and social harmony to every section of society.
