Chandigarh, April 27, 2016 (kalsi):- Pushpinder Singh Gujral, Business Head, Vodafone Business Services, emphasised on the need to take calculated risks while upscaling business. The most important factors to be kept in mind for a successful businessman is customer experience, employee productivity and managing cost (or bottomline). 
 
Stressing on the need to open up multiple channels of communication with the consumers he gave a typical example of e-commerce companies, which were executing them very successfully. He said companies like PayTM were known to gather upto 97 per of their learnings about consumer behaviour through social media.
 
Deepak Geol, CEO & co-founder of iMet and BFG Corp, in his address while simplifying the concepts of digital and social media from a business perspective, said small and medium enterprises should harness the full potential of digital media by maintaining and end to end presence on it. In this context they should look beyond just marketing and business development. This will help them to do personal branding, which is sadly lacking in a vast majority of SMEs focused largely om money making.
 
Mr A L Aggarwal, vice president, representing Haryana Chambers of Commerce and Industry, also spoke on prospects of growth for SMEs in the region.
