Chandigarh,09.05.16-AN URGENT MEETING OF PROMINENT TRADERS OF ENTIRE SECTOR 17 WAS HELD TODAY TO MAKE FURTHER STRATEGY TO OPPOSE MC DECISION TO CLOSE BOTH THE PRIME PARKING SPOTS OF SECTOR 17 ( SAHIB  SINGH AND EMPIRE STORE PARKING LOTS ).

THERE IS SENSE OF DISCONTENTMENT AND ANXIETY AMONG THE TRADERS OF SECTOR 17, WHO ARE ALREADY FIGHTING A DIFFERENT WAR AGAINST THE UPCOMING MALLS IN AND AROUND THE CITY, WHICH HAS SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED THE FOOTFALL OF THE CUSTOMERS, AND COMPETITION FROM E RETAILS AND ECONOMY SLUMP.

THE ONE SIDED DECISION OF THE MC WILL HAVE ADVERSE EFFECT ON ITS BUSINESS ACTIVITY AND INCONVENIENCE TO THE CUSTOMERS, TOURIST AND TRADERS OF SECTOR 17.

WE ALSO WISH SUCCESSFUL RUNNING OF NEW MULTILEVEL PARKING BUT AT THE SAME TIME ANY BUSINESS LOSS CAN’T NOT BE COMPROMISED. SO KEEPING IN VIEW OF GREAT RESENTMENT AMONG THE TRADERS OF SECTOR 17, WE ALL HAVE DECIDED TO BOYCOTT TODAY OPENING CEREMONY.

WE HOPE OUR SUGGESTION WILL BE DEFIANTLY CONSIDERED TO THE SATISFACTION OF SECTOR 17 TRADERS WHO ARE KEEN FOR THE OVERALL DEVELOPMENT OF ENTIRE SECTOR 17

FOLLOWING PROMINENT TRADES AMONG OTHERS WERE PRESENT IN THE MEETING WERE,
