CHANDIGARH POLICE BRIEF & OTHERS DATED

 Three arrested under NDPS Act

        The local Police arrested Happy @ Champ resident of New Indira Colony, MM, Chandigarh, near beat box, New Indira Colony, Chandigarh and recovered 3 Kg. Ganja from his possession. A case FIR No. 159, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-IT-Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

        Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Surinder Kumar @ Chinda resident of New Indira Colony, MM, Chandigarh, near Railway Crossing, Indira Colony, Chandigarh and recovered 2 Kg. Ganja from his possession. A case FIR No. 160, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS- IT-Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

        The local Police arrested Vikas @Vikas resident of Village Burail, Chandigarh, near Dispensary, Sector-45, Chandigarh and recovered 11 Gram heroin from his possession. A case FIR No. 490, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 

Murder

        A case FIR No. 304, U/S 307 IPC & Added 302 IPC has been registered in PS-I/A, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kaushender Vikram Shukla r/o # 246, Hallo Marja, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person stabbed to complainants son namely Abhishek near Poultry Farm Chwok. Abhishek admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh, later on he was declared dead by the doctor. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Rioting

A case FIR No. 305, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 324, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-I/A, Chandigarh on the complaint of Pappu R/o # 81, Block-B, colony No. 4, Ind Area, Chandigarh alleged that Shahid @ Billa, Kuldeep, Rinku, Dilshad and others who beaten/threatened to complainant and also stabbed with knife near Plot No. 695, Phase-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Complainant got injuries and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 

A case FIR No. 306, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-I/A, Chandigarh on the complaint Sh. Kuldeep Singh R/o # 355, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh alleged that Pappu, Sandeep, Greece and 2 other all resident not known, beaten/threatened to complainant near Plot No. 695, Phase-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Complainant got injuries and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 324, U/S 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint Sh. Raj Kumar R/o # 2030, Phase 2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh alleged that Ashu, Gourav, Johny, Sahil, Sonu all resident not known beaten/threatened to complainant at his residence. Complainant got injuries and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 201, U/S 147, 148, 149, 323, 341, 307, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint Sh. Deepak R/o # 4670/2, Sector-38/W, Chandigarh against Bhura, Jagina, Johny, Ankush, P.K., Knacha all resident not known, they beaten/threatened to complainant with sharp weapon near, Sector-38, Chandigarh. Complainant got injuries and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 

Accident

Sh. Raman Kamal R/o # 3697, Sector-56, Chandigarh reported that Hemant Goyal R/o # 384, Sector-16, Panchkula, driver of BMW car No. HR03Q6611, hit to complainant’s Activa No. CH01AT-0963 near Sector-44/45/50/51 light point. A case FIR No. 95, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Sector-18/c, Chandigarh reported that someone has stole away complainant’s gold Kara, 2 pairs of diamond ear rings, gold ring, 5 silver coins, Krishna silver murti, pearl pendent, mobile phone, documents, cash Rs. 16000/-, 400 dollars from his house on the night intervening 11/12-10-2017. A case FIR No. 184, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Bhagat Singh R/o # 172, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that someone stole away his motorcycle No. PB08CG-1523 from near parking Plot No. 33, Sector-26, Chandigarh.  A case FIR No. 217 U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC REGARDING THE FESTIVE SEASON

 In view of the anticipated heavy traffic movement during this festive season, citizens are requested to adopt the following measures until Diwali:-

 

  1. Please try to walk to nearby markets, nearby destinations, etc. rather than using a motor vehicle.
  2. Please plan your day in such a manner that, whenever possible, travelling is done during non-peak hours, so that traffic presence on the roads and parkings is staggered out.
  3. Car pooling should be done, whenever and wherever possible.
  4. Please ensure vehicles are efficiently parked in the designated parking lots not consuming more space than necessary.
  5. People are advised not to park their vehicles in ‘No Parking’ Zones/Roads; otherwise, such vehicles shall be towed away/clamped.
  6. In case vehicle is towed away/clamped, please contact Traffic Helpline No. 1073.
  7. The general public hereby allowed to use the ground & parking space of following Govt. Schools for parking of their vehicles only after 3.00 PM from 14th October to 21st October, 2017:-
