Chandigarh,14.11.17-KB DAV-7 rocked on the occasion of Children’s Day with a plethora of eye-capturing performances by the students which made it spectacular by their stunning participation. The celebrations started with a Special Assembly by tiny toddlers in which they spoke about life history of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and recited poems on the theme ‘Children’s Day’. They gave an enthralling and enthusiastic performance on inspirational music followed by a Medley performance by the teachers which left the audience spell bound.

The spirit of celebration was carried on by the young and energetic students from class V to VII which could be felt in every nook and corner of the school. The budding artists tapped their feet and synchronized with the musical beats. They were dressed up in bright, colorful and traditional attires making the premises of the school vibrant.

Kasaf , a class V Saral Ahsaas student stole the heart of the audience by her melodious Qawali in ‘Singing Competition’ . The winners of the Singing Competition were Tannu, Anjali and Altamos in Group 1 and Kasaf, Harsh and Parvez in Group 2 bagging 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

A ‘Fancy Dress Competition ‘ added a punch to the celebration where the students of class VIII portrayed themselves as famous personalities like Michael Jackson, Mother Teresa, Kapil Sharma & Mr. Arora, to name a few.

A quiz based on ‘Constitution of India’ was conducted by class IX students who compelled the audience to scratch their brain to answer the quirky questions.

The celebration was further glorified by a skit on the theme ‘; Jago Grahak Jago’ by class X students. They made the audience aware about the Consumer Rights and how to avoid exploitation. A ‘Declamation Contest’ for class XI and XII students on the topics ‘Juvenile Violence’, ‘online Games’ was also conducted. Ishita of class XI D was judged the Best Speaker. The assembly was concluded with a pledge to safeguard sovereignty, socialism and integrity of India.  Madam Principal, Mrs. Pooja Prakash applauded the efforts put up by the teachers & the students.
