Chandigarh,  November 24,  2017-As part of the “Quami Ekta Week (National Integration Week) celebrations, Directorate of Field Publicity (NWR), Chandigarh  organized various activities in the region to foster and reinforce the spirit of Communal Harmony, National Integration, secularism and pride in our vibrant composite culture & nationhood.

This week, DFP (NWR) field units had organized various activities such as painting & essay competition on various themes such as national integration, cultural unity, conserving environment & role of women in society & development. National Integration Pledge was also administered to students and staff of schools by their field officers.

The Field Publicity Unit, Amritsar organized ‘Cultural Unity Day’ and ‘Women’s Day’ as part of the National Integration Week at Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Amritsar. Drawing competition on the subjects was held and winners were felicitated with certificates. Mrs Ravinder Kaur, Headmistress also delivered a special lecture on role of women in the society. Principal Dr Dharamveer Singh, faculty members and students also participated in the pledge taking ceremony.

          The Field Publicity Unit, Narnaul organized a programme at Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School on 23rd November, 2017.  A drawing competition on the theme of ‘conserving environment’ and an essay competition on the theme of ‘role of women in society & development’ was organized. The winners of the competition were felicitated by the deputy principal of the school Smt. Kiran Sharma. A pledge was also administered to school students to reinforce the values of tolerance, co-existence & brotherhood in a multicultural and multi-religious society.

The Field Publicity Unit, Rohtak also organized various activities at Saini Girl Sr. Sec. School Rohtak on 22nd November, 2017and at Government Middle School, Rohtak on 23rd November, 2017. Students actively participated in various competitions and also committed to maintain and preserve the national unity and integrity of the country. Earlier in the week, DFP Jalandhar also organized programs at Jalandhar and Kapurthala.
