Chandigarh, Jan 9- Haryana Government has decided to organize the State Level Republic Day function at Ambala on January 26, 2018 where the Haryana Governor, Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki will unfurl the National Flag. He will also be 'At Home' at Chandigarh the same evening. The Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will unfurl the National Flag at Rohtak.

          While stating this here today, an official spokesperson said that the Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Mr. Kanwar Pal would unfurl the National Flag on Republic Day at Hisar and the Deputy Speaker, Mrs. Santosh Yadav at Bhiwani.

          He said that Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma would unfurl the National Flag at Gurugram, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu at Panipat, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. Om Parkash Dhankar at Rewari and Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij at Kurukshetra. Similarly, the Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh would unfurl the National Flag at Karnal, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain at Jhajjar and Transport Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar at Kaithal.

          The Industries and Commerce Minister, Mr. Vipul Goel will unfurl the National Flag at Sirsa, Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr. Manish Kumar Grover at Faridabad, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishan Kumar at Nuh, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr. Karan Dev Kamboj at Jind, Minister of State for Public Health Engineering, Mr. Banwari Lal at Charkhi Dadri and Minister of State for Mines and Geology, Mr. Nayab Singh will unfurl the National Flag at Yamunanagar. He said that State Chief Whip, Mr. Gian Chand Gupta would unfurl the National Flag at Sonipat.

          He said that Divisional Commissioner, Ambala, Mr. Vivek Joshi would unfurl the National Flag at Panchkula, Divisional Commissioner, Faridabad, Mrs. G. Anupama at Palwal, Divisional Commissioner, Gurugram, Mr. D. Suresh at Mahendragarh and Divisional Commissioner, Hisar, Mr. Rajeev Ranjan at Fatehabad.

          If in case any of the above mentioned dignitaries could not reach the venue, the Deputy Commissioner concerned would unfurl the National Flag. The Sub Divisional Officers (Civil) would hoist the National Flag at sub divisional headquarters and Tehsildars at Tehsil headquarters.

Chandigarh, Jan 9 – Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has invited online applications for allotment of 1327 industrial plots in various estates. The last date for receipt of applications isJanuary 25, 2018.

          While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Corporation said that applications have been invited for 143 plots in Bawal IMT, 20 in Faridabad, Industrial Estate (IE), Flatted Factories, Sector 59, 196 in Faridabad IMT, one each in Gurugram UV Phase-VI (plot), Gurugram UV Phase-V (shed) and Gurugram UV Phase-VI (shed). Similarly, applications have been invited for 10 plots in IMT Manesar, one each in IMT Manesar Phase-IV (IT category) and Jind IE, 16 in Karnal IE, 282 in Manakpur IE, three in Narnaul Informal Sector, 165 in Narwana IE, 314 in Panipat IE, 27 in Rohtak IMT, 60 in Saha IGC, 10 in Sirsa IE, 12 in Tohana IE and five plots each in Yamunanagar IDC and Panipat Textile Hub.

          He said that applications have also been invited for 32 plots in Rai Food Park and 22 plots in Saha Food Park.

Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change,requested to remove the existing cap of ten percent on the drawl of funds from CAMPA and allow expenditure on plantation of trees and forest management activitiest.

Chandigarh Jan 9: Haryana Government has decided to request the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, to remove the existing cap of ten percent on the drawl of funds from CAMPA and allow expenditure on plantation of trees and forest management activities, as per the requirement of the State Government.

          This and other decisions were taken in the meeting of Governing Body of Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today.

          Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu and Forest and Wildlife Minister, Rao Narbir were also present in the meeting.

          It was also decided in the meeting that since the forest and tree cover area in Haryana is required to be increased from the existing 6.65 percent to 20 percent, as mandated for plain areas in the National Forest Policy, Government of India may be requested for allowing the State to purchase land for raising forest from funds available under CAMPA.

          The Chief Minister was apprised that there is a delay in identification and removal of dead, dry, fallen trees and trees which are dangerous for life and property. On this, he directed that the Zila Parishads and the Municipal Committees, in their respective areas, would be authorized to identify such trees from forest areas and the Forest Department will ensure its early removal.

 Chandigarh January 9: The Haryana Supplies and Disposal Department and HARTRON will participate in the South Asia Procurement Innovation Awards 2017 to be launched by the World Bank. The awards would be distributed during the fifth South Asia Region Public Procurement Conference to be held at New Delhi from February 5 to 7, 2018.

           While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the awards aims to enhance the learning and knowledge sharing from innovative procurement practices adopted in South Asian Countries.

          He said that the Supplies and Disposal Department and HARTRON are the two main departments involved in procurement of goods and services in the State. The regional winner and runner-up would get an opportunity to participate in the 8th international Public Procurement Conference to be held in Arusha, Tanzania in August 2018.

Chandigarh, Jan 9 – Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has extended the "Out of Court Settlement of Pending Court Cases/Arbitration Cases Scheme" pertaining to various categories of electricity consumers’ upto March 31, 2018.

          While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Nigam said that the scheme would be applicable for settlement of all disputes of electricity consumers pending in Courts including District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum (DCDRF), Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (CGRF), State Commission or in Arbitration and cases under appeal with Appellate Authority, as on November 30, 2017. 

          He said that the scheme would also be applicable to electricity consumers or users against whom criminal cases on account of theft of energy were pending in any court of law or only FIR had been lodged upto November 30, 2017 against them irrespective of whether challan has been submitted or not submitted to the court of law. Such consumers would become eligible to avail the benefit of scheme only after payment of compounding charges.

Chandigarh, Jan 9- The Cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have crushed 142.21 lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced over 12.98 lakh quintals of sugar so far during the ongoing crushing season.

          While stating this here today, a spokesman of Sugarfed said that cooperative sugar mill Shahabad has so far crushed a maximum of 25.32 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced over 2.44 lakh quintals of sugar, followed by cooperative sugar mill Rohtak which has crushed 21.81 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 1.94 lakh quintals of sugar.

      He said Cooperative Sugar Mill Kaithal has crushed 14.82 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced over 1.36 lakh quintals of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill Meham crushed 14.21 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 1.26 lakh quintals of sugar while Cooperative Sugar Mill Karnal crushed 13.15 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 1.24 lakh quintals of sugar.

          Similarly, Gohana sugar mill has crushed lakh 12.68 quintals of sugarcane, producing over 1.08  lakh quintals of sugar, Jind sugar mill has crushed 10.42 lakh quintals and produced 92,625 quintal of sugar, Panipat sugar mill crushed 10.27 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 93,725 quintals of sugar, Sonipat sugar mill has crushed 10 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 92,950 quintals of sugar and Palwal sugar mill crushed 9.53 lakh quintals of sugarcane and thus produced 85,275 quintals of sugar.

          Apart from this, Assandh sugar mill has crushed 12.86 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 1.09 lakh quintals of sugar. So far, the average recovery of sugar from cooperative sugar mills has been 9.52 per cent.

Haryana Police has busted a prostitution racket operating from a spa centre in Gurugram and arrested eight persons including six women and two men.

Chandigarh, Jan 9 – While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that police had received an information that a sex racket was operating at a spa centre namely ‘03 Days SPA’ at Sector 5, Gurugram.

        Acting swiftly, the police sent persons acting as decoy customers to the spa centre where they found men and women in objectionable condition.

        The Police arrested the accused and case has been registered against them under various sections of the Immoral Trafficking Act, he added.

Chandigarh, Jan 9 – Haryana Police has arrested three persons involved in a series of incidents of looting people on gunpoint during December 2017 in Rewari. The police recovered two country-made pistols and six live cartridges from their possession.

        While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that the accused have been identified as Johny and Rajesh alias Bhaida, residents of Gujarwada, and Sandeep alias Kali, a resident of Shakti Nagar.

        He said that the police had received information that the accused equipped with weapons were roaming near Prajapati Chowk at bypass in Rewari. Acting swiftly, the police nabbed the accused from the spot.

        The spokesman said that the accused had looted people on December 24, 26, 28 and 31, 2017 at various places in Rewari.

        Further investigation in the case is under progress, he added.

Chandigarh, January 9- Municipal Corporation of Gurugram and Ecogreen Energy held a joint interaction and workshop with RWA representatives and cross-section of residents in Zone – 3 regarding implementation of Integrated Solid Waste Management Project, which also included a presentation about the project. About 90 representatives from all the 6 wards of Zone – 3 including Ward No. 30, Ward No. 31, Ward No. 32, Ward No. 33, Ward No. 34 and Ward No. 35 attended the meeting.

          The meeting was chaired by Mrs Sunita Yadav, Dy. Mayor, Gurugram. She emphasized on the importance of the project and the benefit it would bring to the society. Detailed presentation about the project was made by Mr Ankit Aggarwal, CEO, Ecogreen Energy. The project aims at elimination of open dumping and burning of waste, making the city cleaner and healthier.

          The door to door collection of Municipal Solid Wase has already been started in 11 wards of Zone – 1 and Zone - 2. The same is planned to be started in Zone – 3 in 2-3 days.

          The concerns of residents regarding various aspects of implementation were addressed by Mr Y.S. Gupta, Additional Municipal Commissioner, MCG and Mr Ankit Aggarwal, CEO, Ecogreen.

          ISWM project is an ambitious project and Mr V. Umashankar, Commissioner, MCG has reiterated earlier that only when citizens work hand – in – hand with the corporation; then and then alone can we collectively realize the benefits of this ambitious ISWM project to the maximum; and RWAs have a key role to play to bring this change.

          Speaking on the occasion Mr Y.S. Gupta, Additional Municipal Commissioner, MCG said that, ‘MCG exhorts each and every citizen of Gurugram to educate themselves about the promising ‘Integrated solid waste management project’ and take benefit of the same.” He also informed that Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram, Mr Vinay Pratap Singh, will facilitate and recognize the top 3 best performing RWAs on January 26, 2017 who are actively working in waste management under Swachh Bharat Mission. Interested RWAs need to submit all the details with full facts and details in the Room No. 112, 1st. Floor, Mini Secretariat, Gurugram by January 15, 2018.

          He also informed everyone about the ongoing Swachhata Sarvekshan led by the government which will survey 4041 cities in the country, which also includes Gurugram. The cities will get the ranking basis the various parameters including cleanliness. He requested all the citizens of Gurugram to help keep their city clean and thus help in the overall ranking of Gurugram. Under Swachh Sarvekshan citizens will get a call on their mobile where-in they will be enquired about the various aspects of Swachh Sarvekshan, basis which points will be awarded to the city.

          The participants at the event included RWAs and citizens from all the 6 wards including Abhay Punia from Sun City RWA, Shivshankar Rai, Anil Sharma and S.P. Municipal Corporation, Gurugram has announced the launch of online application of birth and death certificates.

Chandigarh, January 9- Municipal Corporation, Gurugram has announced the launch of online application of birth and death certificates. The new initiative will save significant time of the citizens as they need not travel to the MCG office for such applications and can avail this facility from the comfort of their home. MCG will also courier these certificates to the applicants address and also bear the cost of the same. 

          Sharing more details about this initiative Dr. Ashish Singla, Medical Officer, MCG informed that earlier the facility of online applications was available only in birth and death cases received from hospitals. Hospitals used to share the birth and death record details from their hospitals with MCG online. Now this facility is also available for birth and death cases from home. The online application can be made by clicking on the ‘Birth and death application’ icon available on the MCG website www.mcg.gov.in. In case of any objection, the applicant will be informed by MCG through an SMS on the applicant’s mobile number, so that the applicant can address that objection. He added that once the death and birth certificates are ready, MCG will send them to the applicant’s address through speed post. Applicant won’t be charged anything for the speed post or the first copy of the death and birth certificates.

          Accordingly to V. Umashankar, Commissioner, MCG, this facility will immensely benefit the citizens, as they won’t be required to come to MCG office for the birth and death application. MCG has already made information about property tax and its payment online. Over 70 percent citizens are availing the benefit of the online property tax payment.
