Chandigarh,24.01.18-In wake of recent murder of a Principal during a PTM in Yamunanagar, Federation of Private School Association under their state president Kulbhushan Sharma has called for bandh by all private schools in state on January 30. ‘Govt non friendly policy towards the safety of teachers, principals, management, drivers along with non teaching staff has provoke them to taken this step.’ said Sharma.  Association demands for the safety of all. Haryana Progressive Scholars Conference led by Suresh Gusain, Yamunanagar Private School Association under the leadership of Manoranjan Sahni, Panchkula Public School Association led by Satish Anand also joined the movement for the call of bandh. Leaders insist that the objective of observing bandh is to frame a safety law in favour of teaching fraternity and this regard each district unit will be submitting memorandum to their respective Deputy Commissioners.

While addressing a press conference today at Chandigarh Press Club, the teacher leaders emphasized the need of formulating the law teachers on the grounds of students studying across the country. Kulbhushan rues, while advocating the laws for students, the interests of the teachers fraternity are being ruined. He said any of the irresponsibility in the school for a mishap, principal and management are held responsible and without any proper thorough investigations, they are sent behind the bars. Sharma said, women in teaching profession always felts a sense of pride and this is the reason why majority of schools bearing principals and teachers are female. But due the insecurity concern, they are leaving this noble profession. One side Govt has emphasized the Girl Child School by ‘Beti bachao, beti padao’, while on other hand they are unable to secure the safety of female preachers who are playing a big role in making an ideal socity.

Kulbhushan Sharma expressed his resentment on the recent murder of school principal in Yamunanagar. ‘Neither Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar nor Education Minister Rambilas Sharma released any statement to condemn this killing. No body went to bereaved family to console them which is truly an act of shame. We will be launching a statewide stir against this lenient attitude of Govt.” said Kulbhushan.
