Mumbai,29.01.18-On occastion of India's 69th Republic Day celebrations, Bollywood journalist and one of the finest film critic, Yogesh Mishra, received the 'Best Film Critic' award at 'Kaljai Leera The Soulmate Award' for the year 2018, in Mumbai. The award function was beautifully hosted by eminent Bollywood actors Aman Verma and Leera Kaljai.

After receiving the award, Yogesh Mishra said, "Receiving such an award is like manifesting a childhood dream which I had kept alive all this while as a closely-held secret within me and I thank the organisers for giving me due recognition in this manner on India's Republic Day! Credit goes to my entire team of 'Bollywood Town'. I do film reviews out of my passion and luckily this is my profession too. Thank you to the jury, friends and all my well wishers. Love you all. My journey from a small town to the city of dreams, Mumbai, was not possible without the blessings of my elder brother, Shri Ganesh Mishra. He is my Mentor and inspired me a lot and will be always throughout my life."

Mishra is currently the Editor-in-Chief of 'Bollywood Town' magazine. This behind-the-scenes professional has been the brains behind the most widely read and sought-after film reviews for the Bollywood industry in the last decade or so, having worked with many leading media in Mumbai.

It is only in the last couple of years that he has revealed to the reading public about his presence as he took complete control of the editorial of Bollywood Town magazine which was launched a couple of years back. The platform of this highly acclaimed and popular magazine of this industry provided him with just the right medium to showcase his prowess on a broad scale.

Considering such an important role that a film critic plays in the world's largest film industry, it is with complete impartiality and fairness to the actual merit of each movie that Mishra does justice with the power of his pen. After all, a film critic has to adopt a fine balance between art and the lure of lucre which many in his field yield to.

Apart from Yogesh Mishra, many actors, singers, directors, producers, technicians, film PROs, and film journalists were also awarded for their direct or indirect contributions to the Indian Film Industry.
