Arguendo in full swing on 2nd Day

 Chandigarh.03.02.18-The 2nd day of Arguendo’18 was even a bigger success. The students of University Institute of Legal Studies put in their sincere efforts as they entered the second day of their 4th National Academic Law Fest, Arguendo’ 18. The budding lawyers contested in the Quarter-final and Semi-final rounds of the 4th All India Gurcharan Singh Tulsi Criminal Law Annual Moot Court Competition, 2018. Simultaneously, the preliminary and the quarter-final rounds of the 7th UILS National Client Counseling Competition, 2018 were also held.

 Teams from Symbiosis Law School, Noida; School of Excellence, Chennai; Nirma University, Ahmedabad and PES Modern Law College, Pune entered the semi-final bout of the 4th All India Gurcharan Singh Tulsi Criminal Law Annual Moot Court Competition, 2018. Additional Sessions at the District and Sessions Court, Chandigarh such as Mr. Justice J.S. Sidhu, Mr. Justice Ajit Atri, Mr. Justice Ashwani Kumar Mehta and Mr. Justice Harish Anand adjudged the semi final rounds and interacted with the students.

 A total of 24 teams participated in the 7th UILS National Client Counseling Competition, 2018. The concept of Client Counseling is relatively new to North India and is a pioneering venture of UILS. It aimed at familiarizing the budding lawyers with the ethical and moral standards of the legal profession. The participants were judged by the alumni of the institution who themselves have been pioneers in the field. A magnificent performance was seen as each team put in their hard efforts in showcasing their counseling skills. A total of eight teams from AIL Mohali; Dept of Laws, Chandigarh; Faculty of Law, DU; SLS, Pune; UPES, Dehradun et al showcased their client counseling capabilities and four teams amongst them would be competing for the Rs. 50,000 cash prize and trophy.

 The students are keenly waiting for the Final rounds of the All India Gurcharan Singh Tulsi Criminal Law Annual Moot Court Competition’ 18; and the semi-final and final rounds of the 7th UILS National Client Counseling Competition, 2018. The bench would comprise Senior Advocate KTS Tulsi, a Panjab University alumnus and an eminent Supreme Court lawyer along with honorable judges, Mr. Justice Haripal Verma, Mr. Justice Arun Palli, Mr. Justice Jitendra Chauhan of the Panjab and Haryana High Court and Ms. Anu Chatrath, Dean Law Faculty, would grace the event with their august presence and encourage the participating teams along with the students of UILS.

CHANDIGARH 3rd February, 2018:- The 9th Panjab University Rose Festival scheduled to be held from 9th February to 11th February, 2018 is seeing huge response from participants for various competitions. The forms are being sold online at the website ’www.panjabuniversityrosefestival.in’ and offline at Festival Secretariat at Single Window Enquiry, Panjab University.

 In response to the huge public demand, the Organisers have decided to open one more outlet for sale and acceptance of forms at Student Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Both the sale counters at Single Window and Student Centre will work till 6 p.m. daily including Sunday.

 PROFESSOR A.K.VASHISHT, PROFESSOR LUXMI, OF UNIVERSITY BUSINESS SCHOOL AND DR AJAY RANGA OF THE UILS - PANJAB UNIVERSITY TOOK SESSIONS ON THE FIRST DAY I.E. 3rd FEBRUARY, 2018. THE SESSIONS FOR FIRST DAY BEGAN AT 9:30 AM AND GOT OVER AT 4 PM, AND WERE HIGHLY APPRECIATED BY THE 

PARTICIPANTS. .THE PROGRAM WOULD CONTINUE ON THE SECOND DAY I.E. 4th FEBRUARY, 2018.
