 Action against consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Kulwinder Singh Saini R/o # 233, Gali No. 8, Shanti Nagar, MM, Chandigarh near Parade Ground Parking, Sector-17 Chandigarh, while consuming liquor at public place. A case FIR No. 51, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Accused later on Bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 

Chandigarh Police arrested Rajesh Sharma R/o # 430, Manav Colony, Saketri, (HR) from Shastri Nagar, Manimajra Chandigarh, while consuming liquor at public place. A case FIR No. 36, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Accused later on Bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

        Sh. Pankaj Mahendro R/o # E9/1, Basant Vihar, Kusumpur, South West, Delhi reported that unknown person stolen away LED TV, one Magic DVD, Momentos-9, Gift Box-9, Decorative Items-1, Woolen Coat, other items from House No. 37, Sector 19A, Chandigarh on 31.01.2018. A case FIR No. 46, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Karamdeep Singh R/o # 753/1, Sector-43A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away his Bullet M/Cycle No. HR44J-1726 while parked in front of House No. 353, Sector-43A, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 42, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Bhupinder Dubey R/o # 1093, Vikas Nagar, MJ, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away his Jupiter Scooter No. PB65AA(T)-1274 while parked near SCO-247, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 27, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/Kidnapped

A lady resident of Sanjay Labour colony, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh reported that her daughter age about 15 years has been missing/kidnapped from her residence since 11.02.2018. A case FIR No. 43, U/S 363, 366 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Later missing girl has been traced out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

===============================================CCHANDIGARH POLICE SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS IN VIEW OF

 

VALENTINES DAY-2018

 

 Keeping in view of the Valentine’s Day 2018, Chandigarh Police has made special arrangements to avoid any untoward incidents and to maintain law & order in the city. The duties will remain deployed with additional force on 14.02.2018 in special concern of safety & security of the female from eve-teasing, chasing/stalking etc.

 Approximately 900 police personnel from police stations, different wings, IRB & PCR have been deployed for law & order duties including 6 DSPs and 24 Inspectors/SHO, 685 NGOs/Ors and 105 lady ORs. The maximum police force will be deployed nearby Girls Hostels, Colleges and Punjab University, busy Markets & Malls.

 Police Personnel including lady police will be deployed in civil dress near girl’s colleges, PU, Sukhna Lake, Leisure Valley and other important places. A reserve force will remain on alert for mobilizing in case of any contingencies. The internal Nakas will be deployed from 4 PM to 10 PM on14-02-2018 by the respective staff of Police Stations. Patrolling parties from Police Stations will perform Market patrolling from 11 AM to 10 PM on 14.02.2018. The PCR staff will carry out patrolling in the city and PCR Gypsies/Motor Cycle will be stationed near Girls Hostels, Colleges and Punjab University. Every location will be under direct supervision of DSPs and Inspectors for the maintenance of law & order. Pick & Drop facility for the women will be available in order to ensure their safety while reaching home. Girls/women can call on 100/1091 to avail this facility.

 Besides this, special traffic arrangements will also be made to check on violators especially dangerous driving, over speeding, drunken driving and using of pressure horns.  Apart from above the Police personnel of Traffic wing will also be deployed for traffic regulation and traffic rules enforcement. A limited vehicle zone will be undertaken at Geri Route i.e. turn Sector 11/12 to Sector 10 & Leisure Valley Sector 10, Chandigarh to keep watch on miscreants.
