Chandigarh,21.03.18-: NCC is an organisation which helps a student to be self reliant, disciplined and punctual, said Brig RS Thakur, Group commander, NCC Group HQ Chandigarh at aFelicitation Ceremony in NCC Complex, Sector 31 Chandigarh today.

            Two Ex Cadets of Air wing NCC,who recently passed out from Officers Training Academy, Lt PreetiChaudhary and Lt Nimesh Gupta were amongst seventeen achievers.  Lt PreetiChaudhary has set a record in the history of city beautiful by winning the coveted “Sword of Honour” at the passing out parade at OTA, Chennai on 10 Mar 18. The awards were to honouron roll and ex-NCC cadets as achievers for excelling in various fields and to motivate them & inculcate in them a sense of self-discipline, responsibility and patriotism said Wing commander M R Pandeya, Commanding officer, Air wing NCC Chandigarh.

            The chief guest for the ceremony, Brig RS Thakur, felicitated theachievers and conveyed his best wishes to the student cadets and ex-NCC cadets who were honored for their achievement. Emphasizing on youth power as tomorrow’s future, Brig Thakur advised the cadets to enroll in armed forces. This award ceremony is first of its kind which felicitated ex-NCC cadets.
