Chandigarh, April 14 - The Regional Transport Authority (RTA), Rewari today challaned more than 50 overloaded vehicles and illegal vehicles including two fake buses and imposed fine to the tune of Rs 30 lakh on them.

        While stating this today, a spokesman of the District Administration, Rewari said that these fake buses included one bearing resemblance to the Haryana Roadways and another to the Punjab Roadways.
He said that with help of officials of different departments, RTA impounded more than 25 vehicles and issued challans to more than 20 vehicles of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan on National Highway No. 8 and imposed fine on them.

        He said that due to such vehicles, tax amounting to about Rs three lakh per day was being stolen. But now the authorities would not spare them in any aspect. It was also found out that drivers, who run leaving their vehicles behind, lock the vehicles with the help GPS installed in their vehicles.
