CHANDIGARH,11.07.18- Keeping the spirit of “Van Mahotsav alive” with the on-going Tree Plantation drive, KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School students were in complete sync with nature on 11th July 2018 with a message to conserve nature. School began with “Paryavaran Shuddhi” hawan.

Regional Director-cum-Founder Principal, Mrs. Madhu Bahl graced the occasion by planting “Citrus Sinensis (Orange)” sapling having medicinal values.

Students adopted more than 1000 saplings and took a pledge to save and care for the plants in the campus after planting them. To make the students aware of the environment and the need to protect our nature, students of Class 6th did “Green Yoga” becoming one-to-one with nature giving the message “Trees are the kindest things we grow.” While performing Yoga, students made the postures of seeds, falling rain, flying birds, trees etc. Middle School students from Class 3rd to 7th with exuberant energy mesmerised the audience with Speeches, Poems and Qawali and left a message for students to love and care the mother nature The children with a beautiful presentation style stage the show “Chipko Movement”. Benefits of planting saplings were discussed and how it will lead to Greener, Eco-friendly and Pollution Free Environment.

Principal Mrs. Pooja Prakash appreciated the efforts of Staff, Coordinator and Students for putting up an excellent show. She gave away prizes to the best performers.
