Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 05 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 05 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 05 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-17 = 4 cases, PS-49 = 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Besides this one case U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against Kushal Kapoor R/o # 4063, Sector-56, Chandigarh who was arrested near Dushera Ground, Sector 56, Chandigarh and 9 bottles, 21 quarters, 3 halves of liquor recovered from his possession. Later on he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Vipin R/o # 306, PWD, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, while he was playing Satta at BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 870/- from his possession. A case FIR No. 230, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Burglary

Sh. Ajay Kumar R/o # 161, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh alleged that Adil Khan R/o # 258, Ph-1, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh was caught while he stolen away cash Rs. 1000/- and Aadhar Card from complainant’s shop, Kabari Market, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 15.07.2018. A case FIR No. 210, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 254, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh against Shyam Lal R/o # 1339, Village Burail, Chandigarh who violated the orders U/S 144 Cr.P.C of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Accused arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 277, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against Shiv Shankar R/o # 215, Village Badheri, Chandigarh who violated the orders U/S 144 Cr.P.C of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Accused arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sh. Om Parkash R/o # 515, Sector-32A, Chandigarh reported that someone stolen away Mobile Phone, 2 motors of exhaust fan and cash Rs. 15,000/- from Plot No. 39, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 15-07-2018. A case FIR No. 218, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 257, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the statement of Ravinder Kumar R/o # 3634, Sector-25-A, Chandigarh against driver of unknown car who sped away after hitting to Motor cycle No. UP-11AP-0274 driver by Raju R/o # 590, Village Kajheri, Chandigarh near Ganda Nala, Sector-52, Chandigarh on 14-07-2018. Motor Cycle driver got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Baljinder Singh R/o # 24065-A, Bathinda (PB) reported that unknown person stolen awayBullet M/Cycle No. PB-28G-2573 while parked near # 2516, Sector-37, Chandigarh on night intervening 14/15-07-2018. A case FIR No. 275, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/abducted

A case FIR No. 191, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Kishangarh, Chandigarh who reported that his son age about 7 years has been missing from his residence since 14.07.2018. Missing boy later traced out.
