Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 257, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against Mishri Lal R/o # 412, Ph-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh who violated the orders U/S 144 Cr.P.C of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 258, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against Krishan Dev R/o # 462, Ph-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh who violated the orders U/S 144 Cr.P.C of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for MV theft

Sh. Gaurav Kumar R/o # 373, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh alleged that Prem Sagar R/o Village Singha Devi, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali (PB) age 20 years, was caught red handed while stealing M/Cycle No. CH-04E-9602 from parking of Old Distt. Court, Sector-17, Chandigarh on 08-08-2018. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 263, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested in Burglary case

Sh. Baljit Singh R/o # 1112/1, Mori Gate, MM, Chandigarh alleged that Situ R/o # 137-C,Madrasi Colony, Ph-3, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh was caught red handed while stealing Donation Box from Sheetla Mata Mandir, Gobindpura, Mani Majra on 08-08-2018. A case FIR No. 340, U/S 380, 457, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Accused arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to Cheating

A case FIR No. 262, U/S 420, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Yogesh Kumar, Manager, Canara Bank, Sector-17, Chandigarh against unknown persons who placed card cloning device at ATM Machine of Canara Bank, Sector 17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 342, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown driver of Motor Cycle sped away after hitting to complainant and her daughter (both pedestrian) near Kila, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 08-08-2018. Both got injuries and admitted in PHC, MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Sh. Moti Lal Jindal R/o # 14, NAC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away cycle from his house on 06-08-2018. A case FIR No. 341, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success in “Snatching Case” by arresting two snatchers, by the team of Police Station-36 Chandigarh.

Keeping in view the increasing of snatching incidents a special team was constituted for prevention and detection of crime specially snatching incidents in southern area. The Special team did commendable job by arresting the accused Vinayak S/o Lt. Sh. Govind Sharma R/o Flat No. 22, Sherest Housing Complex Zirakpur, Mohali, & Kamal Verma S/o Shiv Charan Verma R/o H NO. 2742, Sector 40 C Chd. With the arrest of these accused one Case FIR No. 273 dt. 24.7.18 u/s 356, 379,34 IPC PS-36 case of snatching has been worked out with the recovery of one snatched mobile phone. The vehicle used for committing the crime i.e. I-10 Car No. HR 12 D 0012, has also been recovered from. Apart from that one more mobile phone Samsung has also been recovered from their possession, which was snatched by them from Mohali.

Accused Vinayak is habitual criminal and his previous criminal record is as under :-

Modus Operandi:-

During their interrogation it has been revealed that both the accused are drug addicted and after taking drug they used to target the pedestrians/victims carrying Costly Cell Phones and snatch phones from them and run away by their Car.

This case is still under investigation and more recovery is expected from their custodial interrogation.
