There are about 50,000 Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the State, if one SHG gives employment to 10 persons then through SHGs, about 5 lakh people would get self-employment opportunity.

Chandigarh, Aug 13 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that there are about 50,000 Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the State, if one SHG gives employment to 10 persons then through SHGs, about 5 lakh people would get self-employment opportunity. He appealed to all the banks to achieve the target of connecting five lakh people of the state with BHIM App for transactions, by Diwali this year.
While addressing the people in a function organised on the Promotion of Digital Transactions, BHIM App and Disbursal of Loans organized by Finance Department and Lead Banks in Karnal today, the Chief Minister urged the people to make their transactions through the BHIM App, this would ease the transactions and would benefit the last person in the queue.
He said that the economic revolution which has happened in the last four years under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi would be remembered long. The Prime Minister has promoted economic revolution by getting bank accounts opened under Jan Dhan Yojana, implementing Goods and Services Tax (GST), linking Aadhaar cards to bank accounts and demonetization.
He said that the bank system has vital contribution to the economic revolution. Before the implementation of Jan Dhan Yojana, there were 3.50 crore bank account holders in the country and later, it increased to 31.50 crore account holders, which more than the population of dozens of countries in the world.
He said that there are 4,800 branches of banks in Haryana which have done transactions to the tune of Rs 2,34,699 crore. He also urged the people to help the poor workers in getting loan under Differential Rate of Interest (DRI) loan Scheme, which would provide the benefit of about Rs 2,300 crore to the poor whereas, Rs 23 crore amount has been given under the scheme.
Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said that each branch of banks has been entrusted with the responsibility to add every small shopkeeper or trader to this app, this would change the way of transactions, bring transparency and save time.
The Country Director, United Nations Development Programme, Ms. Francine Pickup also spoke on the occasion.

Chandigarh August 13: In an iconoclastic move to bring about a complete parity between the salaries, allowances and perks of all Chairpersons or Members of all State Commissions and Authorities, Haryana Government is set to blaze a new trail. It has been decided that Chairpersons or Members of all State Commissions or Authorities, whether constitutional or statutory would be allowed salary as admissible to Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary minus pension for the previous service already drawn, if any. Besides, all other allowances and perks must also be maximum as admissible to those of Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has approved a proposal in this regard.
It may be recalled pension of ex MLAs were also rationalised in the last Assembly session to ensure parity in the pension and allowances of former members of the state Legislative Assembly.
The spokesman said that further, no additional pension or Death Cum Retirement Gratuity (DCRG) would be admissible for the period of qualifying service in any Commission or Authority if the Chairperson or Member is already a pensioner of any Government. Where no pension being drawn by a person before his appointment as Chairperson or Member, he would be entitled to monthly pension of qualifying service which would be regulated under the rules applicable to Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary, he added.
He said that it has also been decided that in respect of all other Constitutional or Statutory Commissions or Authorities of Haryana where the pay, allowances and perks are being drawn over and above those of Chief Secretary or Principal Secretary, the same would be got revised accordingly whether through a change in Statute or execution instructions, even if, this requires making a reference to Government of India.
The salaries of the current incumbents will however be protected.

Chandigarh, August 13 – Following the Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu’s directives, Haryana Police constantly arresting gangsters, most wanted criminals, drug peddlers and those involved in organized crime and criminal activities in the state. In this series, Crime Investigation Agency has nabbed a proclaimed offender, carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 on his head from Sirsa district. He was wanted in seven cases of theft and burglary.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that arrested person had been identified as Funda Ram alias Fonda, a resident of Parasram Nagar, Bathinda in Punjab. A case was registered against him at Sadar Police Station, Dabwali and further investigation was in progress.
In yet another incident, Police team had nabbed a person with 10 kilogram of Doda Post from village Mangeana in Sirsa. The arrested accused had been identified as Pola Singh alias Poli, a resident of village Mangeana. A case under NDPS Act had been registered against two persons and further investigation was on. Police also enquiring about the name of suppliers and efforts were being made to nab them.

Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, will inaugurate the first Civil Airport of the State established at a cost of Rs 12.36 crore in Hisar on August 15, 2018.
Chandigarh,13.08.18-While stating this here today, Civil Aviation Minister, Rao Narbir Singh said this airport has been established in a record time with the unstinted support from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Airport Authority of India.
He said that the passenger terminal to be dedicated to the public would comprise of all facilities including x-ray baggage scanning, reception area as well as security hold area as per the norms of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). He said that this airport has been selected by the Ministry of Civil Aviation under the RCS-UDAN Scheme in which one airline namely M/s Pinnacle Airways Limited have bid for two routes viz Delhi-Hisar and Hisar-Chandigarh. Six flights a week have been planned on both routes, he added.
Rao Narbir said that the airline is in the process of obtaining the requisite approvals from Airports Authority of India (AAI) and DGCA and is expected to commence operations from October 15, 2018. Meanwhile, the State Government intends to invite Non Scheduled Operator Permit Holders to operate on mutually acceptable routes from Hisar Civil Airport, for which the State Government would provide attractive incentives.
He said that, Mr Manohar Lal would inaugurate the passenger terminal under Phase-I of the Integrated Aviation Hub project and also sign a Memorandum of Agreement with Spice Jet Limited for collaboration in development of Phase-II and III of the Integrated Aviation Hub to come up on 4200 acre of land which has been earmarked for the project. He said that under Phase-II, the existing airstrip of 4000 feet would be extended to 9000 feet with state of the art navigation facilities including night landing and parking for larger aircraft like Airbus A-320.
He said that in addition, a Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility would be established for maintenance and repair of aircraft. These would help decongest Delhi Airport and provide basing, parking, maintenance and repair facilities for the aircrafts. Meanwhile, simultaneously, a Detailed Project Report (DPR) would be prepared for phase III for establishment of International Passenger and Cargo airport, aviation academy and aerospace and defence industry. It is planned to complete the execution of phase II activities and DPR for phase III within the next 18 months, he further added.
