Chandigarh 14 Aug 2018.A total of 12 cadets, including 6 girls from Chandigarh Air NCC unit under the Chandigarh groupsecured 14 prizes in various competitions, at the National Integration Camp (NIC) organised by the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Directorate NCC in Telangana State Police Academy from 01 to 12 Aug 2018. The aim of this camp was to foster the spirit of national integration and solidarity amongst the cadets of NCC cutting across cultural, religious, geographical, environmental and linguistic challenges said Wing Commander M R Pandeya, CO NCC Airwing Chandigarh.

A total of 650 cadets from all 17 state Directorates of NCC across the countryparticipated in the camp. They were also shown the monuments of the city including Charminar, Golconda Fort, Salar Jung Museum and Various Military institutionsincluding Air force Academy. The aim of the camp is to showcase the rich heritage and culture of Telangana.

The cadets who secured 14 awards in different team events were,Cadet JasleenBedifirst prize in Nati Dance, Gidda and Tug of war, Cadet Poonam first prizein Group discussion and Gidda. Cadet AmanSiwachfirst prize in tug of war,Cadetvinaykumar first in Nati (boys), Cadet Monu Kumar first prize in bhangra&group discussion, Cadet Jyoti and Cadet Divyanshi awarded first prize in Tug of war, CadetSergeant Geetanjali first in group discussion and CdtKajal first prize in group discussion and tug of war. Col C S Wardhanfelicitated the victorious cadets with prizes and merit certificates.
