Chandigarh,16th August 2018,Ex Governor of Chhattisgarh, Late Sh. Balramji Dass Tandon was given State funeral with Guard of Honor at the Cremation ground, Sector 25, Chandigarh today, and State mourning was declared on 16th August 2018 by the Chandigarh Administration, Government of Punjab and Government of Haryana.

The Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Sh. Acharya Dev Vrat and Sh. Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister Himachal Pradesh also paid tribute to the departed soul at his residence today morning.

Wreath was laid on the behalf of Hon’ble President by Sh. K.B Singh, IPS, ADC to Governor of Punjab,Hon’ble Vice President by Sq Ldr. Saurav Yadav, ADC to Governor of Haryana and Hon’ble Prime Minister of India by Sh. Mohit Handa, IPS, ADC to Governor of Haryana, to pay last respect to the iconic leader who left an indelible imprint on the life of people through his people centric works and achievements.

Balramji Dass Tandon.

People from all walks of life gathered at the crematorium to bid final farewell to the leader whose sole purpose was the welfare of the people of the nation
