Chandigarh, September 21- Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, Vice-Chancellor, Prof O.P. Kalra has directed to declare the results of examination of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of B.A.M.S and D. Pharma of Shri Krishna Ayurvedic University, Kurukshetra, including nine colleges, by the end of this month. Accordingly, the results of first and third year have already been declared today.

In this regard, Vice-Chancellor of Shri Krishna Ayurvedic University, Mr Baldev Kumar had appointed Prof. Anil Sharma, as nodal officer for the declaration of results and other related works, who along with the Principal of Shri Krishna Ayurvedic College, Mrs Usha Dutt met the Vice-Chancellor of PGIMS, Rohtak and appealed to him for the declaration of results, at the earliest. Prof. Kalra assured them that the results of 2nd year would be announced by September 25, 2018.

Chandigarh, Sept 21 – Haryana Government has decided to observe September 23 as ‘Haryana Veer Evm Shaheedi Diwas’ in a befitting manner.

While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that on this day, the martyrs would be paid tributes by organising public meetings, functions and seminars in each district of the state. Apart from this, family members of martyrs and recipient of bravery awards would also be honoured by presenting them mementos. The freedom fighters and Kargil war heroes would also be invited in the district level functions, he added.

Chandigarh, September 21- International Folk Festival, a cultural exchange programme will be organised in Haryana at Indradhanush Auditorium in Panchkula on September 27. The festival will be participated by around 400 artists from various countries of Asia and Europe who will perform folk dances of their respective countries, besides Dhamaal and folk songs by artists of Haryana.

While giving this information, a spokesman of Arts and Cultural Affairs Department said that this program would start at 5 pm and conclude at 8 pm. This program is being organized by the State Government in co-ordination with the Department of Arts and Cultural Affairs, Chandigarh University and Rhythm Group.

He said that the participants of the programme included Artists, male and female folk dancers from many countries including Germany, China, Brazil, Russia, Italy, South Korea, South Africa, Ukraine, Thailand, Turkey, Colombia, Singapore, and Czech Republic. During this program, National Award winning folk dance of Haryana, Dhamaal would also be performed.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of State Vigilance Bureau, Haryana said that ASI Devender Singh has been nabbed in a raid by the State Vigilance Bureau while accepting bribe from Vijay Kumar resident of Dabua Colony, district Faridabad in lieu of verbal complaint of Amit in the matter of his wife’s ornaments.

Chandigarh, 21 September – J.C. Bose (erstwhile YMCA) University of Science and Technology, YMCA Faridabad, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Information and Communication Technology Academy of Tamil Nadu (ICTACT) to conduct training programmes for faculty and students which will also facilitate the placement of the students.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Vikram Singh, Dean (Academics Affairs) on behalf of the J.C. Bose University, in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar, whereas Regional Head, North India of ICTACT Mr. Raghavan Srinivasan, signed the MoU on behalf of ICTACT. Director, Industry Relations, Dr. Rashmi Popli, Coordinator, Ms. Rashmi Aggarwal and, Senior Manager and Relationship Manager of ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Anand Babu and Mr. Lovetesh Kumar were also present on this occasion.

ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state governments and industries. ICT Academy is a not-for-profit society, the first of its kind pioneer venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model that endeavours to train the higher education teachers and students thereby exercises on developing the next generation teachers and industry ready students.

Speaking on this occasion, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that as ICT is the backbone of technology and innovations and this partnership would benefit those faculty and students of the University who are using ICT as their core subjects. Further, it would also bridge the gap between industry and academia, thereby increasing employability of the students, he added.

Senior Manager of ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu, Mr. Anand Babu said that with training of teachers and students as the primary objective, ICTACT had been working through a seven pillar program in the areas of Faculty Development, Student Skill Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Youth Empowerment, Industry-Institute Interaction, Digital Empowerment and Research and Publications.
