Mumbai,07.10.18-My warm congratulations to the Government of Uttarakhand and its dynamic Chief Minister Shri Trivendra Singh Rawatji for organizing the state’s first ever Investor Summit.

When I met with Hon. Chief Minister and his dynamic team in Mumbai I was highly impressed with their vision to make Uttarakhand one of the leading states in India.

Uttarakhand is blessed with enviable natural resources, lush green forests, snowcapped Himalayan Mountains, beautiful valleys and crystal clear rivers and streams. More importantly it is also blessed with hard working and highly cultured people. This combination makes Uttarakhand ideally suited to a plethora of ecofriendly enterprises.

Reliance is privileged to be among the largest investors in the state with investments of over Rs 4000 crores in the last few years and more importantly we have created large employment in the state.

As Jio, we are committed to a Digital Uttarakhand where each of its citizens can have the best quality digital connectivity and digital services.

Jio will promote environment protecting industries and businesses. Jio will boost sustainable tourism. Jio will improve the delivery of healthcare, education and government services and improve the life of every citizen.

All this will help create additional employment and earning opportunities for the people of Uttarakhand. We plan to connect most of the 2185 govt. schools and 200+ govt. colleges in the state within next 2 years. Reliance has over 100 retail stores and we plan to continue grow these stores at a healthy rate.

The state government’s pro-business policies combine with Jio’s investment will surely open up new avenues for growth of Hi-tech industries in the state. For all of us at Reliance, Uttarakhand is an attractive investment opportunity.

I am confident that the Investor’s Summit will lay the ground work for unprecedented growth of the state in the future. As Reliance Industries, we are very satisfied with environment in the state and support that we have received and I thank the state govt. for all their support.
