Haryana Government has appealed to the under probation employees of State Roadways to get back to their work at the earliest.

Chandigarh, October 22 – Haryana Government has appealed to the under probation employees of State Roadways to get back to their work at the earliest.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Transport Department said that the Transport Department had issued appointment letters to 1,628 bus drivers selected by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, of which 1,547 bus drivers had assumed the charge in different depots. Unfortunately, there is continuous strike in the state since October 16, 2018. It is brought to the notice of such employees that in case of non-satisfactory Probation Period, the services of such employee could be terminated without any show cause notice. He said that the State Government has given assurance that if they get back to their work then they would be dealt with mildly for their involvement in the strike. After getting back to work, their safety would be the responsibility of the District Administration and the State Government.

The spokesman said that it was also informed that as of now, the State Government has no proposal to change the Transport Department into State Roadways Corporation or Nigam and apart from the kilometre scheme; no other policy is being introduced.

Therefore, it is appealed to them to get back to their work for the convenience of the people, he added.
