Chandigarh,23.1q0.18-An emergent meeting of Chandigarh Traders Association Sector 17 was held today. Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi President of Chandigarh Traders Association Sector 17 and Advisor Chandigarh BeoparMandal preside oer the meeting. The meeting was attended nearly by all the executive members. The members discussed about the coming Diwali Festival days and safety of the visitors/tourists due to heavy rush in Sector 17 market during these days.

Mr. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi urged the UT Administrator to installation of A MINI FIRE TENDER AND AMBULENCE SHOULD BE PERMANENTLY STALLED NEAR POLICE CHOWKI PLAZA SECTOR 17 to tackle mishap, if any during these days. We have experienced that during this peak season the parking’s are full and in case of need the fire fighting vehicles face difficult situation to reach the destination.

The Administration/MCC has provided Multipurpose Parking in Sector 17 recently, which is indeed step towards facilities to Visitors/Tourists, but the site being far away from shopping complex, is little inconvenience to masses mainly to Sr. Citizens, Smallest Children, Handicapped etc. To overcome such situation, we suggest that auto driven rickshaws be provided at all entry points including Sahib Singh’s and Empire parkings.
