APPEAL TO HARYANA TRANSPORT

Chandigarh, Oct 29 – Haryana Transport Department has appealed to the employees on strike to immediately join their duties as the people are facing a lot of inconvenience during the festival season due to non-availability of convenient bus service.

  • The kilometre scheme is not privatization, but to add more buses in the fleet of Haryana Roadways by hiring.
  • This scheme would not have any adverse affect on any employee of the Department.
  • Under this scheme, the conductor would be of the Department who would issue tickets to the passengers and the revenue thus collected would be deposited to the state exchequer only.
  • The buses plying under this scheme would have permit of Haryana Roadways and the timetable and route would also be decided by the Department only.
  • The implementation of this scheme would increase transport service which would be in the interest of passengers and the State Government.
  • Under this scheme, the driver would be of the bus owner and the salary, maintenance, insurance and GST tax would be borne by the transporter.
  • Under the scheme, the expenses of diesel would be borne by the bus owner.
  • Under this scheme, the average expenses of the Department would be Rs 31-37 per kilometre whereas the expenses of the State Roadways bus are Rs 45-49 per kilometre.
  • The design and colour scheme of these buses would be similar to the Haryana Roadways buses.
  • The buses plying under this scheme would continue to provide concessional and free travel facility to 40 different categories on the pattern of State Roadways. The fare would be as per the rates of Haryana Roadways.

Haryana Urdu Academy and Haryana Sahitya Akademi Panchkula


Chandigarh, October 29 - With a view to commemorate Haryana Day, the Haryana Urdu Academy and Haryana Sahitya Akademi Panchkula will organise a Mushaira at Haryana Akademi Bhawan, Panchkula on October 30, 2018, at 11 a.m.

While giving this information, Deputy Chairman and Director Haryana Urdu Academy, Dr Chander Trikha said that the poets who would participate in the Mushaira include Dr Rana Gannri, B. D. Kalia Hamdam, Dr Madhav Kaushik, Dr K.K. Rishi, Mekash Ambalvi, Dr. Sultan Anjum, Dr. Nafas Ambalvi, Dr. Amar Ambalvi, T. N. A delegation from Bihar will visit Haryana for a two-day visit on October 30, 2018

Chandigarh, Oct 29 – A delegation from Bihar will visit Haryana for a two-day visit on October 30, 2018 to study the works undertaken by the Haryana Government under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme in the state.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Skill Development and Industrial Training Department said that Director, Employment and Training Department, Bihar Mr. Dharmendra Singh has informed the Director General, Haryana Skill Development and Industrial Training Department about the visit of the delegation from Bihar.

He said that the works undertaken by the Haryana Government have been appreciated by other states as well. As a result of which, other states have been visiting Haryana to gather information of works undertaken by the Haryana Government.

It may be recalled that Haryana was conferred with the ‘Champion of Change’ Award under the category of Best State for engaging maximum apprentices per lakh of population, in November 2017.

The spokesman said that the State government has taken various steps to enhance and promote the entrepreneurship training in the state. These included posting of a Deputy Director exclusively for implementing the Apprenticeship Training Scheme, organizing the manpower in field institutes which could be utilised for the implementation of the scheme and allotting monthly targets for establishment and preparation of database of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and large establishments.

He said that a District Apprenticeship Committee, under the chairmanship of respective Deputy Commissioners, including senior officers of various offices and prominent industry associations as its members was also constituted for monitoring the progress. He said that workshops were organised at big level by inviting private industries and departments of the state government and public enterprises. Apart from this, people were also made aware about this scheme in public functions, he added.

Skill Development and Industrial Training Minister, Mr Vipul Goel said that the State has made significant progress under National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) in the State by increasing the number of registered establishments to 10,601 and number of apprentices to 47,815. He said that provision of budget amounting to Rs 141 crore has been made for stipend. Apprenticeship has so far provided to 18,500 youth in different government departments. The State Government is committed towards implementing the Apprenticeship Training Programme in every eligible organisation, he added.

Buoyed with the success of purchase of Bajra through the e-procurement system at Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 1950 per quintal and payment to farmers directly into their bank accounts

Chandigarh October 29: Buoyed with the success of purchase of Bajra through the e-procurement system at Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 1950 per quintal and payment to farmers directly into their bank accounts, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has accorded his approval for using the same system for the procurement of moong and potato. While the procurement of moong would commence next month, the procurement of potato would start in the month of February.

While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that about 1.51 lakh Metric Tons of Bajra has so far been procured by the procurement agencies in the State at MSP of Rs 1950 per quintal.

He said that Hafed would purchase 25 per cent of the produce of moong under Price Support Scheme (PSS) in the State for which Minimum Support Price (MSP) has been fixed at Rs 6900 per quintal. In order to ensure that actual farmers gets MSP and there is no trading of moong, the payment would be made to farmers directly in their bank accounts. He said that for this, all the moong growing farmers have been asked to register themselves on Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal, the e-Kharid portal. The Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department has been asked to complete the registration process of farmers within a period two days, he added.

The spokesman said that Hafed would engage the services of Saksham Yuva in this work. They would be stationed in the mandis at the time of bidding alongside the arthiyas and procurement agencies. They would automatically generate Form J on the spot by filling up the purchase details, bid price, estimated weight and would also ensure 75 per cent payment of the purchased moong through automatically generated I Forms on the sport directly into the accounts of farmers. The balance payment would be made after measurement by procurement agencies, he further added.

An immunization campaign would be orgnaised on November 22, 2018 and December 22, 2018 in district Rewari
Chandigarh, Oct 29 – Haryana Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that an immunization campaign would be orgnaised on November 22, 2018 and December 22, 2018 in district Rewari, for complete immunization of children, so that 90 per cent of children are immunized in district Rewari by December, this year.

In this regard, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Managing Director, National Health Mission, Haryana, Mrs. Amneet P. Kumar, here today.

During the meeting, directions were issued to the concerned officers to appropriate steps, for the success of the immunisation campaign. The campaign would be organised in three phases that is October 22, November 22 and December 22, 2018. Its first phase has already been completed successfully on October 22, 2018, in which the department had achieved 18 per cent more than the fixed target, for the immunisation of children and pregnant women.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had released a list of 75 districts of the country, having immunisation coverage less than 50 per cent. That list included only Rewari district of Haryana, which special immunisation campaign was required. Under the Mission Inderdhanush, for the success of this campaign, responsibilities had been allocated to different departments. Under which special attention would be given to children and pregnant women living in brick kilns, remote areas and slum areas.

Haryana State Vigilance Bureau

Chandigarh, October 29 – Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has recommended departmental action against nine Gazzetted Officers and 14 Non-Gazetted Officers in eight inquiries, besides criminal case against a Gazzetted Officer and a Non-Gazetted Officer in an inquiry, in the month of August.

While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that the Bureau has caught seven officers and officials red-handed while accepting illegal gratifications ranging from Rs. 1,700 to Rs. 40,000. Cases have been registered against them under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

Sanjay Singh, Clerk in the office of District Education Officer, Hisar, was caught red-handed while taking bribe of Rs 40,000 while Sub Inspector Pardeep Kumar in the office of Assistant Registrar, Co-operative Society, Sonipat has been caught taking bribe of Rs 30,000.

Assistant Sub Inspector, Narender Singh, Incharge and Samay Singh, Special Police Officer, Police Post Alawalpur, Police Station, Chandhut, District Palwal were caught while accepting bribe of Rs 10,000.

In other separate case, Suresh Kumar, Assistant Treasury Officer, Treasury and Accounts Department, Tehsil Matanhail, District Jhajjar was caught taking bribe of Rs 2,000. Jagbir, Reader and Deepak, Computer Operator, in the office of District Revenue Officer, Panipat were caught taking bribe of Rs 1,700.

Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught red-handed a Head Constable, Vinod Kumar of Narnaul

Chandigarh, October 29 – Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught red-handed a Head Constable, Vinod Kumar of Narnaul while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 8,000 from Rati Ram of Narnaul in lieu of taking out his name from the case registered against him in Police Station Sadar Narnaul.

While giving this information, a spokesman of the bureau said that a case has been registered against him under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act at Bureau’s police station at Gurugram.

In another case, Head Constable, Nayab Singh posted in Police Post No.2, Police Station Ambala City was caught red handed while taking bribe of Rs 2,000 from Rahul of Ambala City in lieu of arresting the remaining accused in a case registered in Police Station Ambala City. A case has been registered against him at Bureau’s Police Station at Ambala, he added.

“Run for Unity”

Chandigarh, Oct 29 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal would flag-off the “Run for Unity” program at Sirsa in a State Level Function on October 31.

While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that with a view to foster and reinforce dedication to preserve and strengthen unity, integrity and security of nation, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) is being observed all over the country on October 31, 2018 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Haryana Government has also decided to pay befitting tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the 142nd birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi will dedicate this Statue of Unity to the country on October 31. He said that iron was collected from all over the country for the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat. This ‘Statue of Unity’, tallest statue in the world, measuring 182 meters has been constructed in 42 months.

The spokesman said that ‘Run for Unity’ programme would be organised at all district headquarters. He said that celebration of the occasion annually helps youth of the country to be aware of and provides an opportunity to everyone to maintain the integral strength of the nation. In 2014, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was introduced by the Government of India to pay tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It makes Indian citizens to realize the importance of national integrity, he added.
