One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Sahil @ Kalia R/o # 438 near Qila, Manimajra, Chandigarh from near Shahpur light point, Chandigarh and recovered 02 gram Heroin from his possession on 23.04.2019. A case FIR No. 55, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Nirbhay Singh R/o # 56, village- Buterla, Sector- 41/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Pulsar motor cycle No. PB-65(T)-2075 from parking of Distt.- Court, Sector- 43, Chandigarh on 18.04.2019. A case FIR No. 93, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Vijay Pal Singh R/o # 248, Village- Badheri, Sector- 41/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s motor cycle No. HP-37F-0652 while parked near his residence during night intervening 20/21.04.2019. A case FIR No. 109, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 96, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Puneet Parashar R/o # 3584, Sector- 23/D, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No. CH-01BE-4676 sped away after hitting to complainant’s car No. CH-01BG-7343 near # 1251, Sector- 34, Chandigarh on 17.04.2019. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

Naved R/o # 281, Govind nagar, Village- Jhampur, Distt.- Mohali, Punjabi alleged that Abhishek, Vicky, Sunil and Chandan had beaten complainant near Krishna Market, Sector- 41, Chandigarh on 09.04.2019. In this regard, a case FIR No. 110, U/S 325, 341, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later on 02 accused persons namely Sunil @ Ganja R/o # 165/2, Village- Badheri, Chandigarh (age-20 yrs) and Chandan R/o # 153, Village- Badheri, Chandigarh (age-22 yrs) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

In a major breakthrough the Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Inspector Amanjot Singh is able to arrest the following two persons in four different cases

Chandigarh,24.04.19-In a major breakthrough the Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Inspector Amanjot Singh is able to arrest the following two persons in four different cases who are involved in Fortuner lifting and other vehicle thefts from Chandigarh.

1. Sunil Kumar @ Surender S/o Ram sewak R/o # 566, Mahdev Colony, Surajpur, Distt. Panchkula, HR age-30 years

2. Mohinder Kumar S/o Kishori Lal R/o # 2698, Sec-44, Chandigarh age 49 years present address- # 1077, Rajiv Colony Sec-17, PKL, HR.

3. Rajesh Kumar S/o Sh. Bhagwan Deen R/o # 1805, Vikas Nagar, Mouli Jagran Chandigarh aged 47 Years.

4. (Juvenile)

With the arrest of Sunil Kumar, Mohinder, Rajesh Kumar and one juvenile four cases of solved out of which in one case fortuner involved in case FIR No. 379 dated 19.10.2016 u/s 379,411 IPC PS-34, Chandigarh was recovered, and three two wheelers were recovered in different cases i.e. FIR No. 44 dated 8.2.2019 u/s 379,411 IPC PS-34, Chandigarh of Activa theft, FIR No. 464 dated 1.11.2017 u/s 379,411 IPC PS-39 of M/Cycle theft and FIR No. 324 dated 4.10.2018 u/s 379,411 IPC PS-17, Chandigarh of M/Cycle Theft.

Mohinder Singh was arrested as a receiver of stolen property who is scrap dealer in Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh and Rajesh Kumar was also arrested as a receiver of stolen property whereas he works as Mechanic at Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh.

The IMA Chandigarh chapter and Tri-city ENT forum celebrated International Noise Awareness Day on 24th April 2019 at the traffic Auditorium, Traffic and security Lines, Sector-29, Chandigarh

Chandigarh,24.04.19-The IMA Chandigarh chapter and Tri-city ENT forum celebrated International Noise Awareness Day on 24th April 2019 at the traffic Auditorium, Traffic and security Lines, Sector-29, Chandigarh with the aim to create public awareness regarding noise pollution and its hazardous impact on hearing and brain auditory centre. Around 200 police officials of Traffic, Security and CRPF attended the function. DR. Rajesh Dhir, President IMA, Chandigarh Chapter and Head ENT Department at Govt. Multi-specialty Hospital Sector-16 gave an eye opening information about sound & noise as in general more than 85 db are harmful depending upon how long & how after a person is exposed to the noise. He advised hearing protection by ear plugs/ear muffs for those who are exposed to the excessive noise. For those who are in habit of using ear phones more than 15 min/day are at a greater risk of hearing loss.

. Dr Nitin Mathur, Jt. Secretary IMA Chandigarh dwelt upon the harmful effects of noise on hearing abilities of general public, leading to other health problems. Mr. T.S. Anand from Anand Hearing care explained to audience the basics of audiology and the management of problem arising due to excessive noise pollution.

Sh Vineet Kumar, IPS, SP/Traffic was the chief guest in the function. DSP/Traffic Jaswinder Singh and Harjeet Kaur were also present in the function. Sh Vineet Kumar SP/Traffic honored the doctors and members with mementos.
