Delegation of Chotta and Bara Bhangal areas calls on Chief Minister

A delegation of Chotta and Bara Bhangal areas, of Kangra district led by the MLA Mulkh Raj Premi, called on the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at Vidhan Sabha Complex, Tapovan Dharamshala today.

The delegation apprised the Chief Minister regarding various demands of the area. The delegation urged the Chief Minister to ensure road connectivity to the area as it would facilitate the people of the area, besides opening the area to the tourists.

Chief Minister assured the delegation that the State Government would sympathetically consider this demand.

Delegation of Chamba district calls on Chief Minister

A delegation of Chamba district comprising of Deputy Speaker Hans Raj, MLA Bhatiyat Vikram Jaryal, MLA Chamba Pawan Nayar and Jia Lal Kapoor, Vice Chairman SC/ST Corporation Jai Singh, former District BJP President D.S.Thakur and newly elected District BJP President Yog Raj Sharma called on the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at Vidhan Sabha Complex, Tapovan Dharamshala today.

The delegation thanked the Chief Minister for being considerate towards the developmental demands of the district.

Chief Minister while congratulating the newly appointed BJP District President Yog Raj Sharma expressed hope that the party would emerge stronger under his leadership.


NIPFA lauds the efforts of government for successful organisation of Investor's Meet

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of National Investment Promotion and Felicitation Agency (NIPFA) Deepak Bagla has lauded the efforts of the State Government for successful organisation of maiden Global Investor's Meet at Dharamshala.

In a letter to the State Government, Deepak Bagla has expressed his commitment to facilitate the investment journey of foreign investors in Himachal Pradesh and structuring a dedicated investment promotion agency.

He has also thanked the State Government for the courtesy and warm welcome the investors were offered during the Investors Meet and effectively showcasing the investment opportunities in Himachal Pradesh to the investors.

The Managing Director has expressed hope that the growing ties between between UAE and India would go a long way in attracting investment to the State of Himachal Pradesh


Government invites suggestions for budget 2020-21

The state government has started process of formulation of the state budget for the year 2020-21. In order to make the budget more people centric, participative and reflection of the views of various stakeholders in the society, the government has invited suggestions from the general public, industries, trade and farmers associations on the budget.

A spokesperson of the state government said here today that the suggestions could be sent by e-mail to or by letter to office of Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) by 24 December, 2019.

The suggestions can be provided on increasing revenue receipt, expenditure control and other related matters for the budget. It will promote transparency, openness, responsiveness and participatory approach in budget preparation.
