CHANDIGARH,3rd April 2020: Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27B, a private non-profit institution has contributed a sum of Rs.7,00,000 towards the Prime Minister’s PM CARES Fund in view of the Corona Virus pandemic. This significant effort was made possible through the contribution of the school’s staff members and management. While all teachers and clerical staff of the school contributed their 1.5 days’ salary to the fund, the management contributed an equal amount taking the tally to the said sum.

=The Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) was created on the 28th of March 2020 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi following the COVID-19 pandemic. Contributions of the school to the fund shall be used to combat, contain and undertake relief efforts against the corona virus outbreak across India.

The school is also doing its bit by contributing to the food being arranged for 500 people daily, in collaboration with other schools in the tricity.
