One arrested for possessing illegal liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Rocky R/o # 725/19, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh (aged about 31 years) and recovered 10 bottles of Royal Challenge Gold whiskey from his possession near TPT light point, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 01.06.2020. A case FIR No. 109, U/S 188, 269, 270 IPC & 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to murder and Arms act

A case FIR No. 102, U/S 452, 307, 34 IPC & 25-27-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Arvind Singla R/o # 1150, Sector-33-C, Chandigarh against 4 unknown persons who shot bullet fire at complainant’s H. No.1378, Sector-33-C, Chandigarh on 31.05.2020. None injured. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Assault

A case FIR No. 43, U/S 147, 149, 323, 506, 188 has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Pardeep R/o # 2712/2, Sector-49-c, Chandigarh against Mandeep Malik, Shivam, Sumit, Vijay etc all resident of Sector-49 and Sector-25, Chandigarh, who were quarreled with complainant’s near Colony, Sector 49-C, Chandigarh on 31.05.2020. Two accused arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 44, U/S 147, 149, 323, 506, 188 has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mandeep Malik r/o # 2737/1, Sector 49-C, Chandigarh against Pardeep, Deeapk Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Vikas, Ankit all resident of Sector-49-C, Chandigarh, who were quarreled with complainant’s near Colony, Sector-49-C, Chandigarh on 31.05.2020. All accused arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

PAYMENTS OF CHALLANS

For the safety of the general public, the payment of routine traffic challans at Traffic Challaning Branch, Traffic Lines, Sector 29, Chandigarh was withheld w.e.f. 19.3.2020 and persons who had to pay fine were given an extended period of three months from the date of challan. Keeping in view the present scenario, it has been decided to further extend the period for payment of pending traffic challans upto 30.6.2020.
