Two arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Bhupinder Singh @ Deepak R/o # 353, Balmiki Mohlla Village Burail Chandigarh (age-27 yrs) and recovered 36 nips of country made liquor from his possession near Petrol Pump, Sector-44C, Chandigarh on 31-05-2023. A case FIR No. 82, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Jai R/o # 6548/B, Sector-56, Chandigarh (age-19 yrs) and recovered 52 nips of country made liquor from his possession near Sport Complex Sector-56, Chandigarh on 31-05-2023. A case FIR No. 100, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Om Parkash Goel R/o # 1034, Sector-7, Distt. Panchkula (Hry) reported that unknown person stole away cash Rs. 2500/-, weighing machine, Aadhar card and pan card from Shop No. 780/2 Govindpura, Manimajra, Chandigarh on the night intervening 30/31-05-2023. A case FIR No. 40, U/S 457, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Maman Sharma R/o # 1011, Gatti Wala Dharampur Pinjore (Hry) reported that unknown person who stole away cash Rs. 15,000/-, Aadhar Card, copper and brass wire, CCTV Camera DVR from Shop no. 711, Thakur Dwara Road, Manimajra, Chandigarh on night intervening 30/31-05-2023. A case FIR No. 41, U/S 457, 380 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 25, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ajay Kumar R/o Village Lahala, Thesil Laddharol, Distt. Mandi (HP) and others who alleged that a lady and her other associates resident of Chandigarh, they cheated complainants regarding sending abroad in 2016. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 67, U/S 406, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Jagdish Rawat R/o # 1811, Sector-7, Chandigarh who alleged that Rajesh Kumar and others cheated with complainant Rs. 11,000/- on 22-06-2021, on the pretext for providing job. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 60, U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Chandigarh (age-32 yrs) against unknown person sent a link on her mobile phone regarding offer the part time job to her and who cheated with her for Rs. 55,000/- on 17.05.2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 47, U/S 336, 337, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the statement of a lady resident of Chandigarh against driver of truck No. PB-31P-5659, which was parked on Sector-2/11, dividing road, complainant’s husband Sandeep Kumar on bullet M/cycle no. CH-01CP-7906 who struck with truck, on 30-05-2023, pillion rider his wife and Sandeep Kumar sustained injuries got admitted to GMSH-16, where duty doctor declared Sandeep Kumar brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

The link for checking your pending traffic challans is also available on homepage of the official website of Chandigarh Traffic Police under the tab “Services” Moreover, general public is hereby advised to update their latest mobile number against the RC details with the concerned registration authority or online by visiting https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan//en/content/vehicle-related-services. In case of non intimation of information regarding any traffic challan due to non updation of latest registered mobile number of the registered owner of the vehicle, Chandigarh Traffic Police shall not be responsible in any manner.

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success

The Crime Branch team of Chandigarh Police achieved a major success by arresting two vehicle thieves namely Lovekush @ Bablu and Sanjay on 31.05.2023 with their arrest 02 cases of vehicle theft have been solved. Apprehension of Accused On 31.05.2023 a secret information was received that one namely Lovekush @ Bablu is using stolen Activa Honda and roaming in the area of Sector-38, West Chandigarh to sale the same. Acting upon this information the team of Crime Branch reached near motor market sector-38 west Chandigarh, where he was apprehended alongwith stolen Activa Honda No. CH01BC5185 on the identification of informer and accordingly arrested in E-FIR No.645 dated 20.10.2022 u/s 379, 411 IPC PS-34, Chandigarh. On the other hand, acting upon the secret information, accused Sanjay S/o Vishnu Parsad R/o 440/C EWS Dhanas age-23 years alongwith the stolen Activa No.CH01CE1291 involved E-FIR No.372 dated 25.05.2023 u/s 379, 411 IPC PS-26, Chandigarh was arrested from near dumping Ground Dadu Majra, Chandigarh. Vishnu Parsad Present Address 440/C EWS Dhanas Age 23 years Qualification Illiterate Profession Labourer Recovery:-  02 Activa Honda (case properties ) Modus operandi: - Sanjay is illiterate and a drug addict, who stole the vehicles by using mater's key during day time after surveillance. He has stolen around 10 to 12 gas cylinders in a state of intoxication and he exactly doesn’t know the place from where he had stolen. Accused Lovekush is a drug addict, who stolen the vehicles at night time after surveillance. Previous History:- Accused Sanjay has tainted passed and has previously been arrested in a vehicle theft case No.118 dated 17.09.2020 U/S 379, 411 IPC PS-SRP, Chandigarh. The investigation of the case is going on. Both were produced in the court and sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
