One arrested in theft case

A boy (age-17 years) resident of Chandigarh reported that an unknown person stole away cash Rs. 3,000/- from the backside of Gandhi Market, Sector-18, Chandigarh on 31-05-2023. During the investigation, a person namely Suraj R/o # 3291, Sector-19, Chandigarh (Age 19 Years) has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 379, added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Abetment to suicide

A case FIR No. 38, U/S 306 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Avtar Chand R/o Village-Jallowal Khanoor, Chabbewal, Distt- Hoshiarpur (PB) who alleged that Gurjit Singh and others R/o # 237, Village Sarangpur, Chandigarh harassed and tortured complainant’s sister due to which she committed suicide under mysterious circumstances at their residence on 22.05.2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 61, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mahesh Ram R/o H.No. 505, Sector-11B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person sent a link of VITAS Company app via sms on his mobile phone on 05.05.2023. Complainant downloaded the app and deposited total Rs. 66,000/- in wallet for getting good returns on 12.05.2023 & 14.05.2023 but later the app stopped working and started showing the errors. Investigation of case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police has achieved a major success

Chandigarh Police has achieved a major success in solving a theft case by apprehending the accused Kumar Singh S/o Ghan Shyam R/o H.No 1435, Rajiv Colony Sector 17 Panchkula Haryana, age 24 years along with recovery of stolen bicycle within 07 hours after registration the case. The details of the case is as underAs per the complaint filed by Mr. Puneet Anand S/o Late Sh. SK Anand R/o H.No 6385 Rajiv Vihar Mani Majra Chandigarh. a bicycle belonging to complainant’s son was stolen from the front of his house, where it was parked. FIR No. 42/2023 U/S 379 IPC was registered and legal action was initiated accordingly. After going through all the contents of the FIR, a team was constituted under the close supervision of Abinandhan P. D.S.P. North East Division and under the leadership of Insp. Neeraj Sarna, SHO, PS Manimajra. During the course of investigation the police officials nabbed accused Kumar Singh along with stolen Bicycle. Today i.e. 02.06.2023, the accused will be produced in the Hon’ble Court. Further investigation in the present case is going on. Moreover, as per record the accused Kumar Singh is a habitual criminal (Drug addict) and involved in more than 10 cases of theft/ burglary in the tricity area. In another breakthrough, the team of Police Station Sector 17, Chandigarh arrested one accused namely Prem Kumar Pathak S/o Om Parkash Pathak R/o H. No 1262 Near Water Tank Hallo Majra Age 22 Yrs, in case FIR No. 86 Dated 01.06.2023 u/s 473, 411 IPC PS-17, Chandigarh. Brief Facts of case Under the supervision of Insp Rajiv Kumar, ASI Balkar Singh along with other police staff was on Patrolling duty near public toilet back side fire Brigade Office Sector17, Chandigarh. They apprehended one person namely Prem Kumar Pathak S/O Om Parkash Pathak R/O H. NO 1262 Near Water Tank Hallo Majra Age 22 Yrs along with stolen Activa Scooter CH03 6760. During investigation person could not be able to show the papers of stolen Activa, When he was asked strictly, then he told that he had stolen this Activa Scooter from Sector 40 Chd. The number plate of this Activa Scooter is fake. The original number plate of Activa Scooter was CH01-AT-4900. During the course of investigation on 27.03.2023 accused namely Prem Kumar Pathak S/O Om Parkash Pathak R/O H. NO 1262 Near Water Tank Hallo Majra Age 22 Yrs has been arrested and stolen case property vehicle Activa Scooter CH03 6760 has been recovered from the possession of accused. During investigation it came to notice that against this stolen Activa Scooter, a case E-FIR no. 239 dated-01.06.2023 U/s 379 IPC, has already been lodged in PS 39 Chd. Accused has tainted past and theft FIR already found registered against him in Baltana PB .

In a major breakthrough, PO & Summon staff of Chandigarh Police under the directions of SSP U.T. Chandigarh and SP City in the supervision of Sh. Vikas Sheokand, Dy. SP DCC and team headed by Sh. Hari Om Sharma, Inspector/Incharge PO & Summon staff is able to arrest 02 proclaimed offenders. Arrest of Accused/Proclaimed Offender: - With the help of collection of information from different sources (technical & human) and a day/night search. The follwoing proclaimed offenders have been arrested with secret information of informer and all the sincere efforts made by ASI Ravi Kumar 534/CP, HC Ashok Kumar 1179/CP, Sr.C. Rakesh kumar 1308, C. Anuj Kumar 4665/CP, C. Harish Kumar and Vol Jang Singh 415/CHG. The Master Technical & Monitoring Cell of Chandigarh Police provided continuous assistance to locate the accused and helped the police officials of PO & Summon Staff to apprehend. 1. The state case PO namely Deepak Singh S/o Nirmal Singh R/o # 219, Village Palsora, Chandigarh has been arrested from # 1858, Sewakpura, Gali No. 3, Ludhiana, Punjab in case FIR No. 91 dated 07.04.2019 , U/s 380, 454, 411 IPC, PS-39, Chandigarh. The case was registered on the complaint of Davinder Sian Shop No. 95, Sain Timbar & Furniture, Village Palsora, Chandigarh, who reported some hardware articles missing from his shop and doubted the same are stolen by his workers. The case was registered against accused and his brother namely Roshan Singh. They were arrested and produced before the Hon’ble Court. Later they did not appear before the Hon’ble Court and were declared PO by the court of Sh. Jaspreet Singh Minhas, JMIC, Chandigarh on 13.06.2022. The proclaimed offender Deepak Singh has been arrested was produced before the Hon’ble Concerned court. 2. Another state case proclaimed offender namely Rohan @ Putti S/o Late Sh. Rajesh Kumar R/o # 311, Village Hallo Majra, Chandigarh has been arrested from backside ISBT 43, Chandigarh , in case FIR No. 345 dated 30.12.2016, U/s 394 IPC, PS- 31, Chandigarh. The case was registered on the complaint of Beenu S/o Sukhdev R/o # 245, Village Hallo Majra, Chandigarh. Who reported that on the night of incident, he was going home, when he reached near Govt. High School, Hallo Majra, 4-5 boys stopped him. One of them hit at his nose and other put knife on his stomach. They rob his mobile phone, ATM cards and Rs. 1500/- cash. The case was registered against accused, who later did not appeared before the Hon’ble Court. He was declared PO vide order dated 15.04.2023 by the Hon’ble Court Sh. Jaspreet Singh Minhas, JMIC, Chandigarh. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Concerned court.

illegal supply of liquor

To curb the illegal supply of liquor in the area, a team headed by ASI Mhabir Singh No.1005 was constituted under the supervision of Insp. SHO/PS-34, Chandigarh, as well as close supervision of SDPO/South, Chandigarh.

Acting on the secret information, on 01.06.2023, ASI Mhabir Singh 1005/CP along with police party laid a naka near slip road, Sec 46 C-D turn and started checking of vehicles. During checking, they saw one silver colour skoda car HR03K-5445 coming from sector 46, Chandigarh towards naka, they signaled the car driver to stop, but the car driver accelerated the vehicle and due to fast speed the car climbed over cycle track and the tyre of car was got burst. The police party ran towards the car and on seeing the police party, the occupants of the said car ran away from the spot, leaving the car behind. During checking of said car, 45 Boxes of liquor (40 boxes marka 999 Pawar star fine whisky per boxes 12 bottles and 750 ml each), (5 boxes naina premium whisky per boxes 12 bottles and 750 ml each) were recovered from inside of the car. Case FIR No.83 dated 01.06.2023 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act , PS-34, Chandigarh was registered against unknown driver of car number HR03K-5445. Later-on, one accused namely Dishant Kumar @ Monu S/o Lt Pawan Kumar R/o Village Nabipur, Tehsil Kharar, Distt. Mohali, Punjab has been arrested 01.06.2023. On the disclosure of accused Dishant Kumar @ Monu, efforts being made to arrest co-accused
