Action against illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Sukhwinder Singh R/o # 354, Village Khudda Ali-sher, Age 32 Years and recovered 36 bottles of country liquor from his possession near Bus Stand, Khudda Ali-sher, Chandigarh on 14.03.2024. A case FIR No. 37, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Ashu R/o # 748B, Small Flat, Dhanas, Chandigarh, Age 23 Years and recovered 12 bottles of country liquor from his possession near Dhanas Light Point, Chandigarh on 14.03.2024. A case FIR No. 20, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Action against Gambling/Satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Akbar Ali R/o Jhuggi, back side Moni Service Station, Togan Road, Dhanas, Chandigarh, Age 43 years while he was playing satta near Kabari Market, Village Sarangpur Chandigarh on 14.03.2024. Total cash Rs. 9220/- was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 19, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Chand @ Chandan @ Vishal R/o # 2085, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh, Age 35 Years and recovered 10 gram heroin from his possession near Prachin Shiv Mandir, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh on 14.03.2024. A case FIR No. 27, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Pawan Kumar @ Gutti R/o # 2775, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh, Age 25 Years and recovered 7.55 gram heroin from his possession near Pepsi turn towards Village Makhan Majra, Chandigarh on 14.03.2024. A case FIR No. 29, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
