Mahendergarh, 14.02.25-The second day of the International Conference on Advancements in Material cience for Sustainable Development (AIMS-2025), organized by the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, Central University of Haryana (CUH), continued with insightful technical sessions and engaging discussions. The conference, under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, is co-sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), and various industry partners, bringing together over 200 national and international delegates.
The day commenced with technical session, chaired by Prof. Beerpal Singh (Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut), featuring expert talks on emerging materials and technologies. Prof. Ashavani Kumar (NIT Kurukshetra) presented carbon-based composites for EMI shielding followed by Prof. Rahul Singhal (Central Connecticut State University, USA) with discussions on supercapacitor materials. Prof. Amita Das (IIT Delhi) delivered a compelling talk on laser-plasma interactions for sustainable development, highlighting novel applications in energy and material science.
Parallel technical sessions featured insights from leading researchers, including Prof. Beerpal Singh (Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut), Prof. Shalendra Kumar (UPES, Dehradun), Prof. Kaushal Kumar (IIT-ISM Dhanbad), Prof. Sanjay Rangappa (KNUTB Thailand), Prof. Pawan Kulriya (JNU New Delhi), and Dr. Manish Kumar (PAL, South Korea). The afternoon poster session showcased innovative research on advanced materials, energy storage, and photonic applications.
The day’s academic proceedings concluded with a Popular Talk by Prof. O.S.K.S. Sastri, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, where Prof. Sastri presented a unique perspective on science and spirituality. His insights sparked engaging discussions among attendees, blending physics, philosophy, and mathematical concepts.
The day concluded with a lively networking dinner, providing delegates with an opportunity to connect and collaborate on future research endeavors. Convener Prof. Sunita Srivastava (Head, Department of Physics and Astrophysics) and Co-convener Prof. Suneel Kumar (Registrar, Central University of Haryana) expressed their appreciation for the enthusiastic participation and meaningful discussions.
