Chandigarh, 6 November: Bringing laurels to her alma mater, LC Deepnoor, NCC (Army Wing) Cadet of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women secured All India Rank 3 in the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (NCC Entry-Women) and got selected for training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai. Out of more than 1,000 women candidates who appeared for the Service Selection Board (SSB), only 25 were recommended, with LC Deepnoor emerging among the top achievers. Deepnoor’s outstanding achievement is a matter of great pride not only for the college, but also for the Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, Mohali, and 1 Chandigarh Girls Battalion, which played pivotal roles in her training and guidance during her NCC tenure.
Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma congratulated LC Deepnoor on her exceptional success. She also added that her achievement embodies the true spirit of the National Cadet Corps’ motto- ‘Unity and Discipline’, and serves as a powerful inspiration for young women determined to serve the nation with courage and commitment.
